I don't believe anyone of the clueless OBSERVER board wrote these words: "If we continue to fight amongst each other, how can we possibly expect to look viable to those from outside our community?"

The church ladies gaggle of geese have consistently and routinely shot wholly unsubstantiated and unresearched divisive opinions, barbs and pontifications towards any news, decision or statement which have been outside the intellectually narrow-minded confines of the simpletonistic "no taxes, smaller government" ideology.

If the church ladies gaggle truly wants to assume the mantle of community leadership, which is implicit in the quote above, then they need to thoroughly divorce themselves from their previous gapped-toothed WVa Neanderthal ideology.

I'm not holding my breath...

Enough slams against women. Just take note that this Country is run by men and just look at the mess it's in. The City of Dunkirk, Town of Dunkirk, Village of Fredonia, Town of Pomfret, Chautauqua County all run by men and aren't they all in just great shape. Here's hoping Hillary runs in 2016 so she can make progress on fixing the mess. Am I a woman, not necessarily, just sick of the women bashing!!!

" A positive sign "? Holy cow sounds to me like it was a room full of back slappers that attended for the rubber chicken and to congratulate each other on the fine job they do.....
