Who paid for that letter? Who paid to have that letter sent, was there a stamp on it or was it metered through the school?

The editor correctly points out that the democrats are the doomocrats. The party of fear. Schools are nothing more than retirement homes for teachers.Any attempt to change that is met by eruptions of fear, doom and lawsuits. that is why we have no choice in our schools. We need to hear from the learned libs, allegedly being for the students, but in reality, are nothing but stooges for the teachers union. The greatest doom of the democrat is global warming. Everything is doom for them so they can have more govt programs.Hey libs, when is the end ? Even of govt programs ?

There's no disputing the kids will get a better education by tuitioning RCS students at CLCS. However, this tuition plan is indicative of how this area continues to bilk taxpayers out of every penny it can, example:
CCSD views communities needing police services as an "opportunity" to charge excessive fees, beyond the actual cost, which is typically known as "new revenue sources."
The DFD now charge taxpayers for ambulatory service when it's already fully funded by...you guessed it.
And now public schools are becoming very comfortable with exploiting other districts by charging nearby taxpayers excessive fees as a means to raise "new" revenue.
The "extra" money (for any of the above services) then gets eaten up quickly thru pay raises, perks and other expenses. But it's never enough b/c increases in taxes, water rates and other charges are placed upon us as well.
Gee, I wonder why school enrollments are down?
Mr. *****tino:You have NO right to say the things you did in your "fear" article. First of all EVERYTHING that was stated as FACT in the article from the Advocates for RCS is indeed factual and can be verified with hard documentation. Maybe you should check before using your position to bad mouth people. You do not live in Ripley and have no idea of the tactics of this board and administration. How about the fact that for years the teachers have been wanting and willing to offer more electives only to be put down by the board/administration. Students have left because of their bullying tactics! Its amazing how people are sucked in to believe them. You are as bad as our board president...you should remain impartial and not be using the paper for your owns misguided thoughts. We have always known you are anti-teacher and you just verified it! No respect for people like you...get your FACTS straight. Graduates from Ripely Central have nothing to be ashamed of and you need to b

Advocate is a little upset that she got called out. There were a LOT of half truths & misinformation in the "Advocates" letter. And I do live in Ripley. There is no doubt that the REA showed their primary interest was in job retention and not education. Regardless of teacher's intentions, the declining enrollment prevented more opportunities, not the school board. I'd love to see the sources for all of you "facts". And the REA was wrong on the reign/rein usage, so you got that one wrong too.
Who cares anyway. The school will eventually close. This is Ripley we are talking about. Its not even a town anymore...its a hole in the ground where you can buy meth or beer. Lets move on to something thats important.
I take offense to what a lot of people are saying over this issue. I live in Ripley my girls went and go to Ripley. I asked the senior if she was a junior would she go to CLCS and she said yes. Why. Because the opportunities are there , the ability to take other courses. More sports options more clubs. The residents of Ripley need to take pride in the town and their children get envolved in your child's upbringing and education clean up the town and get active in the community
Mrs. Walzer mailed the letter. There were other people in the post office, and of course the clerk remembers it.It was printed twice actually, the first mailer did not conform to the postal code so they had to do it over.
Close the schools, they are socialistic havens for teachers whose only agenda is teaching our kids to hate America.
