February 28, 2013

There has been an avalanche of media coverage about the election of a new Pope, about the conclave, the word in Latin means, “with a key” — the Cardinal electors will be locked away....

What all of this has clearly shown is that the Catholic Church, at least at its highest levels, is a lot more like the United states Congress than it is a religious organization.

Dan, you want the Holy Spirit, the spirit that promotes understanding to accept gays ? In the face of mark 10 : 6-9 ? Those dems think they are smarter than god or darwin . Shake up the old boys ? It is fashionable to bash men now. Even though they gave us science and practically everything we take for granted. Christopher, you forgot, as usual, the teachers union comparison with the Vatican. My how those teachers spew hatred at anything resembling choice. Its ok though, they are libs right ? The libs should just say, like the hippies in the 60's. We are ruled by our extreme feelings of love, not thoughts.

Pray where and when do all the countless Catholic Church's sexually abused victims get a say in this election?

I agree, Paul, the Vatican is less a holy city than a political city, building after building housing bean counters and politickers hired to insure the power of the church remains. Also agree with Dcron, when do the victims get a say? I was a Catholic school boy and altar boy as my childhood home was half a block from the church. The ringing bells and the cross on the steeple loomed over us kids as we played sandlot baseball, rode our bikes, traded sports cards and kissed girls all on church property. That was true innocence and I find it ironic that the innocence of my childhood took place on property owned by the organization that took so many kids' innocence away.

I have never believed men that tell me what God is telling them to tell me. When I need to talk to God? I talk. I'm confident an Omnipotent being can hear me without the middleman, his collection plate, and his human frailties telling me how to overcome my own.

Steiner: How does this have anything to do with your (hatred) of teachers? The Pope is a teacher, for God's sake (literally). Were you upset by your teachers in schools? Why? Were you a 'good student' by any measure? What has your schooling allowed you do do that you couldn't without teachers and schools? Where does all this labeling of "libs" with teachers come from? Do you resent the teaching of history, literature, the arts or just where such teaching doesn't agree with your ideological agenda? What's your real problem? Inform us of your real hatred of schooling. I have to admit, the animosity in these forums against the established ways of life in America is truly troubling. If these issues could be discussed rationally and without insults and labeling, we might reach agreement on how to best proceed. Steiner's (and allied) negativity is not the solution. What is the alternative: the gospel of the Tea Kettle? Note: that view is a minority voted against recently

Dan: while I respect your position on these maters, the whole 'affair' in the eh Church today can't be cancelled by nice sounding words. It is hard to imagine, as a Catholic, not seeing the institution of the Church as the source of a great problem. You are inclined to speak in defense of the Institution (though you are a rare exception to Church 'law' and tradition), but the rest of us need more than the usual profound words to 'settle 'our souls in good conscience. The Church has become an indictment of all that it preaches in word. Aside from those those how cherry pick their theology (Catholics who practice birth control or support gay marriages, the bank seems bankrupt, to my ongoing concern. If incline to reply do so via tom.regelski@helsinki.fi,

As we see the ever decreasing attendance at Catholic churches it becomes obvious that the church has to change it's position on major issues. The church has failed to change with the times and the younger generation will not accept the principals that guide the institution. It's time for the church to accept female priests, married priests, divorce and last but not least birth control. Failure to accept these things will simply result in continued erosion of the church and they will completely lose the younger generation.

regelski. you sure are confused and like christopher cant grasp analogies. what does christophers congress comment have to do with the article. You did not attack that, why ? You never saw the teachers union fight choice on TV ? No changing with times here. You call my posts hatred. You forgot foxnews, greed and the end of the planet too ! A knee jerk reaction. Hey dc, when do the kids in a city get an apology for no choice from our govt ? It is always someone else, never a lib that needs to apologize.regelski, I never said i hated certain teachings ,except maybe darwin, which makes you dumb. It is the libs, regelski, not me that have declared war on america. when do we get an apology from them ? I love schooling having read 1000,s of books and more science stuff. I can tell here that most posters are ignorant. If i am so unlearned, how did my chemical work become known around the world ?

Hey regelski, noone is forcing anyone to join the catholic church, unlike our public schools. You can grasp that right ? female priests ? , it would attract the conversion disorder prone women, aka leroy HS girls. There is a reason women were excluded from the priesthood since ancient times and that is it, posters.Shall we discard the Bible and other ancient writings, which I admire regelski ? Uhoh, I can hear it now, sexism, hatred , misogyny. No, it is a scientific fact posters. Look at some of the activist women on tv. They prove it. So at the end of the day, the church is a voluntary thing , unlike all the mandates coming from our libs in govt, which we cannot escape.

Hey learned posters, if i told you what I did it would give away my identity. Tolerant libs dislike me.People have tried to harm me, preaching tolerance too ! everything i post is right out of science books or from personal experience. It is hard to believe when you are so unlearned . You mock my posts with THC, etc. But you have purchased stuff with my chemicals on it in the store. Thousands of lives saved too !around the globe even. Here is something more for you to mock , get ready ! Darwin is dead,DOA, that is why they teach in schools. i have built machines that can manipulate the strong force of nature, look it up unlearned posters.NO THc here. Come on libs , lets hear the mocking .

More for the libs to mock, if the men who worked on particle physics or high voltage electricity, ie. tesla, alvarez, Bohr, or at CERN etc would see my machines, they would know immedietely what I have built. they do not use radioactivity, but use the fact of the strong force of nature. There are 2 of them. Part of the machines is right out of text books, yes libs. I call them steinertrons. I bet you have no idea what i am talking about. So mock it. The guys mentioned would be in awe. So darwin is dead and global warming is a scam. The machines are derivatives, fashioned in Niels Bohr fashion, you dont know what that is do ya libs. They are non newtonian and prove what the particle physics guys said all along. the world we live in is derived from a non newtonian world, where heisenberg uncertainty rules. Lets hear it libs !

I need one more post. The machines and their principles behind them give a factual basis to the ressurection of Christ. this has been mocked for years. Our learned mockers do not know of the two strong forces of nature. The resurrected being would be a shadow of his former self, but still look like himself. pasing thru walls would be easy. yep, sounds like Christ or a strong force being. the libs may mock, but now we have proof in addition to the particle physiscs world of the region where the gods live.Hint, the outermost trappings at times would be high voltage electricity. But not at all times. That is why an apostle was called sons of thunder, lightning and its thunder come right out of this world, the strong force beings, aka as the gods. today, the gods are the democratic party and its unions, right libs ?

hey libs, where did I get the idea for all this ? from reading democratic union literature ! LOL. Nope, it came from reading the bible and other ancient writings, Zoroaster, apocrypha, science stuff etc. and my favorite, hegel. So did marx. All of them are written in a dialectic. It leads to confusion and mocking by the unlearned. the stories told are not the actual stories, but a parable. the parable is easy to remember so if you know how to decode, like an enigma machine, you can figure it out.All the inventors were well read. the libs mock and say you did not build that. really, who did libs ? A democratic union or the govt ? Who exactly had the idea ? How am I doing so far libs ? THC, crazy ? Let me know ! When you mock me you mock the most learned men in history, they gave us the world we live in. Our activists women would do well to read these guys work. Love ? , I love machines and knowledge. relationships come and go, but steinertrons live forever.
