Roberta, Fredonia had a LOGISTICS problem, in that the person responsible for ordering the right chemicals didn't do so in a timely manner. Wow, what a crack water department to not have the right materials on hand when needed....FOR 90 DAYS.

The Youngs were a victim of bereaucratic ineptitude, not an uncommon occurance when dealing with government agencies. The bungling official admitts that it was he was fully responsible for starting this mess; HE DIDN'T DO HIS JOB. However then, if that's not bad enough already, he then goes and tries to transfer his neglegence onto the the Youngs because they failed to catch his mistake?

Why are so many responses in these forums so angry? And negative? Why assume the worst of people; or am I doing that when I read the hatred and envy of those who can't be civil (as in "civilization") in their comments.

Cathy has been one of the only hopes for the forgotten part of the State. She is a hard working fighter. it's sad that the media and downstate politicians couldn't wait to assail her without all the facts. Keep fighting Cathy !!!

I wish someone would tell us why we forked out $100,000 for water last summer. I doubt it was the assessor's fault.
