Making their case

Buffalo tried to develop their water front for years. I really thought the last development committee they had would be able to do it. They were comprised of people like Bob Rich, some previous high level politicans, bankers, attorneys, and insurance consultants. A mix for success. They still could not get it done. This makes me believe it was not fesible for anyone to invest in the development. These guys were sharp enough to get it done if it was possible. Now Dunkirk?

The North County has the Chadwick Bay Group, The Dunkirk Local Development Corp., The Northern Chautauqua County Local Development Committee, The Chautauqua County Economic Development Department all interested in developing the waterfront.Everyone is going after the same source of funding. This is been going on for years and where are we? It seem to me that everyone wants to be the leader. Why not every one in these Committee's unite and may be, just may be something will come to fruition.

If water is one of the good points why raise rates for using it? Article does not give much detail on developments other than harbors. IMHO
