There was a "rumor" a few years ago regarding their health insurance. I believe the contract gave them free health insurance from retirement until 62/65 and Medicare started. This allegedly ended and the board approved a yearly stipend for all teachers that would go into a fund to be used to pay for insurance between retirement and Medicare. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, it should be looked at. Not bad for the #2 highest paid teachers in the county.

"She attributed the increase to contractual salary obligations and increases in the cost of benefits - employees' retirement system, teachers' retirement system and a health insurance increase of 4.9 percent." HEY! Nice job Teachers! Run it right into the ground! WTG. Hey make sure you ask for more now too!
