More female voices need to be heard

April 3, 2013

The February Chautauqua County Legislative meeting had a marathon quality about it. Despite the length of four hours, there was a lot of public interest about the County Home....

More female voices need to be heard ? thats exactly the wrong way to go. we have plenty of female voices now, laden with emotion and conversion disorder, etc. gender equality ? , wrong at the start as men and women are different in their mental outlooks besides the obvious differences. Nobel prizes for gals ? They seem to be in peace or literature, just a smattering of science. Hey gals, the world we live in was invented by men. Look it up.Your business model is a loser . 50% of the population, 4% of CEOs and 14% of boards. Science too is called the boys club by women trying to break in. So gals, you got it wrong from the beginning, its the way you are wired. But it is sure fun to watch the varying degrees of conversion disorder by activist women on tv.Now what were you saying ?

Very good article -- couldn't agree more.

A microcosm of the GOP-RW War on Women.

Remember how the Dixie Chicks said they were embarrassed about Bush, and how vehemently the male GOP-RW establishment crucified three women for speaking their mind? Remember?

Flash forward to last year -- where was Bush, his policies -- even the mention of his name -- during the entire GOP presidential campaign(s)? Nonexistent. They were embarrassed.

Given the Limbaugh-O'Rielly-Hannity tapestry of the GOP-RW culture, its not surprising to see the male GOP-RW county legislators are cut from the same intolerant, condescending, misogynistic cloth.

That's OK -- as the recent election showed and the long term demographics indicate, the boorish GOP-RW males are only shooting themselves in the foot to increasing marginalization.

Steinerdzzz...there are now more women than men in college, more women than men pursing graduates degrees as well -- and the trend shows nothing but the same increase for a long, long time to come.

Deride them as long as you'd care, but that's OK -- most boys will have to work for them some day. And very shortly, as the data indicates.

While I think author has done her research very well on women and politics, I must disagree with her point as it relates to the county home. Two of the three female county legislators voted in favor of selling the county home and several men spoke out against the sale. So this is debate is not about men versus women.

Also, it's unfair and inaccurate to characterize this debate as those who are compassionate for the elderly versus those who are not. This issue is about what is best for everyone in our county.

There are compassionate, caring people in the privates sector that care for our elderly every day. Suggesting that only government can care for people is wrong.

dc gets it wrong again. the women have been snared by their need for a man or govt to help them.So they vote democratic. Their feelings get in the way of logic. At every turn women seem to need help. Out of wedlock births has skyrocketed. This is always a good way to make poverty. Dc helps women stay poor to get on the dole. There are more women than men in college, but dc, the world runs and will continue to run on male science. Unless the conversion disordered laden women get in govt and dismantle it. Like the women at the DEPA.They care. dc, you missed the 4% and 14 % facts again.men working for women ? thats a joke as the women will be using male science and business. Dc, your liberalism gets in the way of your facts.

I don't disagree with this article, however, Lori Cornell crying her crocodile tears does nothing for your argument. That is part of the reason women are seen as weak and emotional. As for Stenier I don't know how he will survive if Hillary becomes President.

Mrs. Cornell does nothing without calculating thought as to how it will further her career. She voted for the lake funding to get those people on her side, now she is attempting the same with the CCH crowd. She has loftier plans for the future.

if Hillary becomes president, I will have a hoot. She will have ridden on the backs of her husband and all the male inventors in society. democratic women know next to nothing. She jetted around the world on a machine, the jet invented by guys. How about a green airplane gals ? Thats why they are democratic. save the planet activist women ? The county home ? ban fracking ? got An alternative to hydrocarbons gals ? Come on gals, lets see the eternal feminine in action. Try reading the basic differences from birth between gals and guys. possibly some govt mandates here to force the guys to be like gals. gender equality !

The Cornells have sold their house and rumor has it that they are moving to Fredonia. Watch for her to further her political career in the north county. She already served on mayor Dolce's mayoral committee.

To the writer of this article, Ms. Polisoto: Rock on sister! Great write, from your style to your knowledge to your research to your tone and delivery! Also agree with DCron. Old, angry, white, GOP RW's are continuously shooting themselves in the foot, and each step they take forward is followed by two backwards....which is fine with me.

I do have an issue with the black and white assumptions on women versus men. "Angry White Men"? Anyone ever hear of Michelle Bachman? Sarah Palin? Ann Coulter? There are a great many politicians, female politicians, on the right wing side of things. On the left of the aisle, I hardly endorse Nancy Pelosi as a great leader for anyone but Nancy Pelosi. Well written article, but as a country we're not going anywhere by perpetuating stereotypes of gender, race or ethnicity relative to politics.

WOW....just the thought of Hillary has Steiner's temperature up. I didn't say she would be good. As for Cornell and Fredonia good luck. I don't think crocodile tears would make it in Fredonia. She should try Dunkirk.

The GOP says that women should stay home and take care if their multitude of fine Christian children. In other words, they should not get involved in politics or even talk about politics. Makes sense to me!!!

Very good article... I think I've figured Steiner out. He must be satirist. I mean there are no cave dwellers in this area, are there? And he must live somewhere near civilization because he claims to have a CORDED PHONE! Which he twists while not penning hilarious comments. Is he unaware of the domination, often by violent means,of women throughout history? How women's participation in education, business, government, etc has been stifled. I just hope his mother, assuming he had one, isn't reading his misogynistic and misanthropic comments. But as I was saying, how could such writing be taken seriously?

Wasn't it Hillary who alienated women in the Bill Clinton administration, slamming women that "bake cookies" and that "stand by her man"?...

The learned posters have responded as usual. Hatred is disagreeing with a liberal.I quote facts and history. stereotyepes do work. research shows again and again the differnce between men and womens thinking patterns.written by women MDs. women are by far more emotional. Angry white men christopher ? Did ya ever see those union members fighting right to work or even school choice? hey gals, without men there would be no science, period. The gals even missed the e-revolution in the 60's as they were marching in NYC for gender equality. thats code for men being like women. So gals, the feminine mystique keeps making mistakes. You are making me very proud of the feminine mistakes you keep om making. Check nobels for science. the guys buried the women.Who made the phrase bimbo eruptions ? Clinton supporters. You can mock womken as long as its for your man, the govt or clinton back then. More women in govt? no its the opposite . we need less emotion.

So gals, what exactly have you come up with in science that has been earth shattering, kevlar is all I can think of. everything else is by guys. And you respond we need more female voices ? No wonder you dont do science or business. 4% CEOs 14% board members. Thats why you gravitate to the democratic party. the party of you did not build that and surely the women did not, historical fact posters. So get your birth control from the dems and let the guys like me do the science.I do love feminists and democrats. Such illogic pawned off as helpful. I do love seeing bimbo eruptions from the feminists !

many of you posters are like Obama. No disagreement is possible, just as he laments about drudgereport hindering his progress. So gals i am ready for my pablum about feminism. No disagreeing ever again. So give it your best shot gals and get the LWV they are concerned about the end of the world. We need more of this ? So gals i was only kidding as your best attempts will fall far short of reality and history. They are so much fun to watch though.

Hey christopher, you are confused as usual. i am a fake ? 9 figure sales around the world, 1000's of lives saved.my real name is known around the world. all done without union help. Unions only hinder progress like in schools etc. i have the satisfaction that I as a "fake", know that you have purchased my stuff in the store. Hows that for a fake christopher. thats all you can do is name call, like any good liberal. I just love liberals. hey gals, how would anyone know you dont and wont do science , even if one just materialized on the planet ? Get ready, gals, in addition to your conversion disorders you are prone to, you want more govt regulation to further your cause. It did not work for the minorities in the cities and you want the same ! wonderful science from our feminists. As a matter of fact I want you to continue this as it makes achievments for homely guys like myself much easier. Go feminists ! Christopher too, unions all the way !

hey christopher, as far as i know, as a fake, i am the only one to make energetic fuel. The testing labs have tested hundreds of concoctions, all failed, except mine. If analyzed, all you will find is straight gasoline right from the pumps.even with the best analytical equipment we have now. The same expensive, sophisticated equipment that let Casey anthony walk as they detected nothing. The equipment that tells industry what it is doing or making. the equipment from those duping Phds usmcvet says. These machines could be half a million or more in cost. No chemicals added. Its been energized. based on non darwinian science. Pretty good for a fake eh christopher ? anyone with a very good knowledge of ancient writings and industry could duplicate it. Give us your union, liberal analysis christopher. gals chime in too, as we need to hear more female voices PS I like Taylor Swift !
