County, city/village, school, water, sewer...it's the same old story about why taxes and/or fees must be raised, regardless of where you live.

Councils, trustees, BOE members, etc all go through the same motions every year to try and balance budgets only to come to the same conclusions every year that there's NEVER enough revenue to pay for rising costs.

Why is it every time a new CBA is reached, it's always a win/win for both sides, but every year we hear the same reasons why taxes/fees must be raised, or positions/courses must be eliminated?

Eliminate the 2% salary increase. In this day and age you are lucky to have a job. Taking no pay increase is a small sacrifice. Frozen salaries are not unusual in these times.
