Burn wood in power plants? Was this Tompkins county legislative chairperson unaware that NYS state made wood boilers for home heating practically illegal a couple of years ago? But we will let power plants burn wood. And I'm sure she has a great idea on how to have the taxpayers subsidize it too.

does martha have ties to north korea ? i mean using wood pellets for fuel. On Tv i saw the north koreans have stripped the country side for wood to keep warm and cook. They have been stunted physically and mentally by an inadequete diet.Sounds like a liberal, going green to save the planet . Golly we need more candidates like martha.Follow North Koreas example ! Those socialists, a strange bunch they are.

Sounds like the same old we hear from all politicians- more jobs, protect the poor, elderly, save the planet, blah, blah, blah. Mrs. Robertson cites the fact that Reed voted for the sequester-just a “fresher” course in history- The sequester was part of the ‘Budget Control Act 2011’, Obama signed after the Senate approved it (45 Democrats, 28 Republicans). The President noted the bill was a “serious down payment on the deficit reduction we need”. Why doesn’t Martha criticize the Democrats or President? Also, what in the world does this bill have to do with our school system & teachers? In New York, we have one of the highest per capita student cost in the country and look at the results. It is obvious that our political leaders either didn’t do their home work or just don’t care when they choose our representatives. Will someone please help?

We need more people like her and others that were behind the Affordable Care Act - NOT. My health insurance is going up $75 a month which will take it over $900 a month - and it's a high deductable plan to boot. Yeah, yeah, I've got liberal friends who keep telling me "all the provisions haven't kicked in yet." Man, if it keeps going like this, I can harldy wait!

She claims that the vast majority of people making minimum wage are adult women with children. That is absolutely false! The vast majority are part time youth. High school and college-age part time workers. Unfortunately, every time minimum wage goes up, the teen unemployment rate goes up also.

It's obvious she's been in public service her whole life because she doesn't understand the private sector and she has chosen to make up her own "facts."

Nice to see a woman running. Seems a little early to me. But I do understand that Congressman Reed is already rsising big money for his next run. Somehow we need to have fair elections and we need to level the playing field. I guess Mrs. Robertson's early start for her csmpsign and fund raising is one answer to Reed's hideous election war chest. He's had two terms and that is enough.
