I would like to see him go away for life, but he will most likely be out in 3.

And here you have a prime example of why gun laws are screwed up. It is not a matter of the average person with a ccp that is the problem. The problem is with our court system which deals with these punks in a manner which does not discourage the behavior in which they are acting. Lock these guys up for a long time, and don't make it a freakin picnic to be in jail. Our biggest problem is not law abiding gun owners, it is ACLU lawyers who think that criminals should be given the full rights and benefits of a regular citizen.

Agree with Paul's first comment.

These guys are "rewarded" - receive a lesser charge - just for being a bad shot, when, instead, they should be charged for the original threat/intent.

Actually, from this picture, I recognize this guy, saw him maybe a week before the shooting. Why do I remember him? Because I was stopped at the light at the foot of King Street, and watched him walk up to a black car in the parking lot of that Magic City joint, coming from across the street, drinking one of those "40's", in broad daylight! I'm sure it was him.

I understand the rule of law somewhat, but in my opinion, ANYONE shooting a gun at another person is guilty of attempted murder. I also think most of the Manslaughter cases I see should be 2nd degree murder. I know, no, I'm not a lawyer, but I can read and have a bit of common sense. Nobody is a good enough shot to say they weren't trying to kill someone when they shot at them.
