Shall we apply this fairly across everything, if so than I'd like to ask Lenny, over his time on the job how many housefires did he see caused by kids playing with matches, and how often did he call for the arrest of their parents?

How many kids overdose or are poisoned each year because things are left where they can get them? Should we imprison their parents as well?

If you leave your keys where they can be grabbed and someone steals your car and run someone over should you be locked up?

Following your logic we are going to need larger prisons.

"Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs said that late today he received a call from the New York State Police informing him that they had provided information on the wrong person when they notified his office of someone whose permit should be suspended because of the new mental health provisions in New York's SAFE Act," the release begins. "When the State Police called to tell us they made a mistake and had the wrong person ... it become clear that the state did not do their job here and now we all look foolish," the release went on to say in a quote from Clerk Jacobs. Jacobs appeared on WBEN radio in Buffalo on Thursday morning and explained the details of this administrative debacle. Mr. Jacobs also delivered some pointed comments about how the law was written so badly that mistakes like this were bound to happen. He closed with some fairly damning statements and also asked the state to consider scrapping the bill and re-writing it."

Don't worry. Son enough, NYS Troopers will show up to confiscate them from you. You don't even have to be the correct person:

"Included in the new information is the report that a gun safe was found in the bedroom of 20-year-old Adam Lanza, who took guns belonging to his mother, Nancy, and shot her in her forehead in her bed" It would seem as if she did have them locked into a gun safe but he must have had access in someway. We need more mental health control not more gun control.

I think there should be a law if you own weapons that they must be kept in a locked facility. I know my brother in law has a gun safe. All of his guns are kept in that safe at all times unless he is using them. People must be responsible if they leave their guns out so that someone can take it and kill or kill themselves. That person must be help responsible.

If there is not already a law, there should be.
