I worked clearing trees and such at the beginning of that park when I was a teen. It had the makings if a beautiful spot, but the money ran out. There was supposed to be a canal to the lake so you could get to the park by boat. It would have been a beautiful place.

myopininion, that sounds like the very same property, but maybe they just need a narrow strip along the old rail line along the lake. To bad all those historic beech trees in Glasgow park were killed and left to rot on the stump by the last failed attempt to grab that land and logging it a few years ago finished it off. That whole area looks like a disaster site now.

Fredonia village board do they need this property ?? I think not-- They now have the big Dunkirk water line to supply lake Eire water to its people-- Sell the land to the people and put some moneys in the bank for the village and the tax payers

I don't know, but is this the historic piece of property that was used when Fredonia Village officials a hundred years ago tried in the dark of the night to dig a trench from Cassadaga Lake to the village's reservoir?
