Joew, you can bet that Colt Python didn't end up on a smelter. If not right now, it will soon be in some official's house.

Kill someone on Friday get rid of the gun Sa. "Authorities did not ask questions of anyone who brought in a gun. Unlike when guns are seized during criminal investigations, these guns are destroyed and police do not try to determine whether the weapons were used during crimes." Great way to solve gun crimes. lol

They haven't hit 4000 in the total 5 years either. This was the 2nd largest amount. "The day’s total was the second highest since the program began in 2007, when 878 firearms were turned in."

Don't worry American,I'm sure he/she will come back and say that is the total turned in since the inception of the program 5 years ago. I did however make a mistake in that the elderly lady received $75.00 for the Python.

"The city paid out $34,340 for the 760 guns." What drug money unless that was money the city was going to use to buy drugs for their liberal constituents. Or maybe just the mayor and his cronies.

Any one think that HVANCDY exaggerates just a tad maybe? Or lies outright. I think the latter fits about 4000 guns turned in Sat.

HVANCDY-on May 4th there were 760 guns turned in. Many were rusted and inoperative. There were over 200 old BB guns and air rifles turned in. One really sad and pitiful note-an elderly lady(must have been in her eighties) turned in a nickle plated colt python that belonged to her late husband. She got $50.00!!!!! Anyone care to guess the value of that handgun? Anyhow I guess Buffalo is a much safer place today right?

DS - I think I meant the Charles Rangel School of Self-Deluded Entitlement.

After being found guilty of 11 ethics charges - by unanimous vote of the House Ethics Subcommittee (meaning 100% of Dems voted with 100% of Repubs) - Mr. "No fault of mine" stated, "How can anyone have confidence in the decision of the Ethics Subcommittee...?"

It's not enough that 99% of them have sold their souls to whichever lobbyists and donors have given them the most money, they have to steal some too...

And fer cryin' out loud, cheats like that get reelected!

Term limits, please!

HVANCDY,

Gun Buyback 2013 in Buffalo was another success over 4,000 guns turned in to date all paid for with drug money !
