Living in the center of it all..must say even with the nice weather...I do not think this year was as bad as many other years. We had nothing broken smashed or stolen.

Just the kids who came from behind the fence..and were shocked to see us sitting in our back yard asking them if they were lost. ha ha scared them

Just wished that the kids had a better taste in music. After all we are forced to listen to it and some of us are not into rap or that techno crap.

Christopher, If you want to hear from some of the shop & properity owners that had damage done, the go to Facebook, or just use this link: *****://****facebook****/FredoniaNySmallBusinesses?fref=ts There you see the problems that resulted from Fred Fest. It's good to party, drink, do a doob or 2, meet people and enjoy the bands and everything that the college puts on, but smashing someone's front window out at their business or damaging someone's home's properity is not cool at all. Have respect-party proper. I have to say that was nice of some students walked around and took care of some of the mess. Kudos to them!

When you stay at home and the houses next to you have partys with hundreds of people on the sidewalk and front lawn its hard not to notice...guess I will have to work on my spelling and typing..this is difficult with the small comment box on my phone but..just for you commentor I will keep practicing my skills

Let me throw my neck out here and ask who was giving the blind eye? There were businesses with signs destroyed, doors smashed in, planters knocked over and shattered, cars with realtor signs duct taped to them....It looked like a tornado went through there Saturday morning. The beer cans and lawn furniture are a given, but there was so much property damage. Just sniff around Facebook, many complaints and pictures of the damage. I couldn't stomach going that route Sunday morning but other reports said it looked worse!

*****it up Fredonia it's one weekend. If Fredonia didn't have that college there would be no Fredonia. Stay at home and you won't even know it's happening. By the way it's Canadaway. Can you not spell or not type. If you live in Dunkirk you have slums that you have to live with all year round.

Partys on Main Street and Candadaway where the photo was taken started as early as 10:30 am. Many of these partys were in full swing unit 1 and 2 in the morning. The article does not state how terrible it is too live next to one of these houses, especially if you have small children. Canadaway street was literally covered in broken glass the next day at 3 pm when I walked by. Hundreds..if not thousands of students roam the streets of Fredonia..drinks in hand. It ***** as a tax payer to have your village taken over and then get a 4500 dollar per year tax fee and another water rate being raised. The binge drinking that is promoted by Fredfest is very dangerous. I am very concerned someone will be killed one of these years by alchol poisoning or a car accident...make sure you get a quote from the mayor and dean when that happens Get Nashty!

I personaly witnessed a car hit the a telephone poll and then a group of Fredfest party goers leave there precious side walk party to push it off the pole and then hide it in the back of a driveway with the damaged side facing in!

I'd like a complete listing of all the damage throughout the community, from trash, to broken trees, any and all other vandalism. If they did that, many would be stunned.

The college sure does make bright students as we see all the kids on the roof. perhaps they believe like that student in his no quick fix article on natural gas. they believe in fairy tales .

Can you imagine the lawsuit(s) that would have been brought against the property owner had the porch collapsed or if someone had fallen? And what's with all the trash, thought this generation was part of the "Earth Day" crowd?

Nice to see all those engineering students actively stress-testing the structural integrity of that 115-year-old upper awning.

And on-campus concerts are lame due to the fact that the house parties and BJ's do it better.
