ANN SULLIVAN's ignorance and political partisanship along with her adoration of the left wanting to remove rights and freedoms a little at a time shows in this poorly thought out attack on Tom Reed. And on the 2nd Amendment.

Really? And are the comments about "The Oath Keepers" Wrong?

Just looked up Oathkeepers site...as I forgot exactly what they stand for.

"Not on Our Watch"..is their motto. They refuse to follow orders that are unconstitutional..in THEIR MINDS. Could not find who among them determines just what is constitutional and what is not.

Looks to me that they themselves have failed to read or understand our very Constitution which they say they are defending. If they had they would realize that it is our Supreme Court that determines the constitutionality of a law or practice. We have a justice system that allows us to challenge any law which we think is unconstitutional. Something many of us take great pride in...our democratic process.

Shame on Rep Reed for associating with a group many of us not only think is very dangerous..but promotes TREASON.

Just wished all these people who think we have tyranny in our country right now would turn off Beck and the rest and turn into an actual book or class on our CONSTITUTION.

So you have a problem with a group "Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military, reserves, National Guard, veterans, Peace Officers, and Fire Fighters who will fulfill the Oath we swore, with the support of like minded citizens who take an Oath to stand with us, to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God. Our Oath is to the Constitution" Must be why the left hates the military so much also. They also have sworn the same oath. Obama did also he just didn't believe it and doesn't keep it.

What a joke! Because we call these right wing idiots, or maybe in fact they are, "former soldiers, veterans, police, etc., etc." than that makes them less nuts or dangerous!? Calling them "non-partisan" is a MUCH bigger joke, even for a "Murikin".

So because they have sworn to uphold the Constitution Of The United States of America you think they are "nuts or dangerous". So I suppose you would approve more of leftwing loony's and nuts like Michael Moore or Rachael Maddow. Or Obama and holder. It's easy to tell what you think of the Constitution isn't it Christopher. I won't even make fun and bastardize your user name as you do mine. But your doing so says a lot.

Isn't it just a bit scary how many of the absolute most rabid of the pro-Gun crowd seem to have memberships in or support all of these so-called "Constitutionalists" who are really calling for a revolution?

That stalwart icon of the left Michael Moore has now stated he wants the 2nd Amendment rewritten to only cover muskets. This guy is even loonier then Obama. Almost as loony as some of the left wing anti gun pro control posters on here.

If you don't want your freedoms that America's forefathers fought and died for, just get out. The gun "control" crowd seems to have the mindset that if only the police and military had weapons the private citizens (now subjects) would be safe. Keep listening to the propaganda machines...they worked for the Nazis and they are working for this government. This administration is so crooked yet the Obama fans still think he is out to help America and them. No wonder the dems symbol is a *******.

The Supreme Court has already ruled that the 2nd Amendment is not absolute; it can be limited. The other parts of the Bill of Rights have been limited, especially the First Amendment and I don't see the 'Patriots' upset about that. Having our Representative declaring the SAFE Act unconstitutional is wrong. The US Supreme Court has already decided NOT to review the SAFE Act. If the NYS Court of Appeals declare it illegal, it would be because of the procedure, not because of policy. Reed is politically using fear to bolster his image with the ultra right wing of the district.

1st of all, the matter of the NY SAFE Act has been nowhere near the U.S. Supreme Court as of yet so obviously it hasn't been ruled on at that level in any fashion. Reed is entitled to his opinion, as is everyone else. If it wasn't for someone's opinion that the "1,000ft" aspect of the federal Gun Free School Act of 1990 was unconstitutional, travel with gun would be highly problematic today.

Really, Ms. Sullivan, the SAFE Act does not infringe on Second Ammendment rights of law abiding New Yorkers? Have YOU read it? It most certainly does!

I will not forget in November, 2014, and, unless something changes, I will be voting again for Congressman Reed because of his position on gun control!

American...swore oaths to uphold our Constitution...EXACTLY.

and in our Constitution..under our laws..if you do not like something..we have something called..ELECTIONS...not taking the law into our hands. They can also try for constitutional amendments and change in the laws. Many avenues..NONE include just taking it into your own hands.

good grief..and just who is to judge if they feel something is constitutional or not? have they all gone to college to study constitutional law?

No one who truly believes in America or our Constitution would ever think that a group of people could or should on their own decide what they think is constitutional and what is not. That is what we have courts for...

MikeDavis...and tell me exactly how crooked Obama administration is. How it is more crooked than the previous administrations?

You do realize our forefathers..all of them...were liberal..REVOLUTIONARIES..dont you? They were all going against the status qua..trying to make a new world...they were intellectuals who highly valued education and higher learning, including learning on their own by reading books.

Why did the Heritage Action group just send a letter to the GOP Congress members..telling them to DO NOTHING...but go against this President? You do not think that is crooked? or at least treason? sell out the american people, their needs, for politics.

That's your "defense" of this administration? He's just as crooked as the last guy so there? He is a liar, has wasted as much, if not more money thatn Bush and Cheney did (and THAT is saying something!) and you still think the inept fool is great. DAMMIT Judeye you are smarter than this...how much has the ONLY thing the guy has managed to accomplish cost in jobs that pay a decent wage and work week cuts? And how many states are fast learning that the costs of healthcare is going from rediculous to you better be Gore or Kerry rich to afford it. Forget the piddling little pile of money Mitt has, Gore sold the rights to get into Americas homes to the terrorists for 500 million. The guy in the Oval office has no use for that document that so many have sacrificed so much to uphold. It not only disturbs me but I can't fathom thinking he is doing anything but what he has planned since his college days. To bring America down to third world status. Your 401K is soaring..great. But fo

But for how long? Once he pulls the plug on the artificial inflation of this market you are going to think the 2000 and 2008 "corrections" were hiccups. how much is your retirement account worth when that happens? He's printing 85 BILLION dollars a month is paper money with nothing to back it but our childrens futures. Yet you cheer...while he sells your families next three or four generations into indentured servitude, you stand there and cheer. I'm just saddened watching my country go down, not with a defiant struggle, but with a cheering throng watching it happen. America sliding into a morass of debt and hoplessness that she may never be able to recover from.
