Going through the same thing in Westfield. Their is even a few that want it gone period. I say the same thing, VOLUNTEER then maybe if we had enough fire personel that we could rely on, then maybe we could talk. Pagers at the frequency range that we use, especially in the north end, don't work. Pager goes off but doesn't tell you anything. As far as text messaging that the county has, that system is not something that we can rely on either. It has made things better, but that system goes down from time to time and sometimes it is even delayed. We had a call the other night and alot of us didn't get it until 5:00/5:30AM, the call was at 12:30AM.

The siren has been fine for what, some 60 years? And now it's too annoying? Some of these people need to get a life, or better yet - VOLUNTEER!

This is like moving or building next to a pig farm and then complaining about the smell! I bet most if not all of the complainers have been there for less time than the alarm has!

The residents of Brocton should talk(sarcasm implied). The Town of Hanover alone has 5 outdoor fire sirens and I don't hear much complaint from the residents when you can hear 4 of the 5 in the Village of Silver Creek depending where in town you live and the wind direction.

This siren is not as loud as the previous one! If they feel the need to use it at night, shorten the length of time that it blows.

I hear the siren loud and clear from my home and it does wake me at night. I don't care, it is the signal that directs help to someone in need!!! You can't imagine how much relief you feel when you hear that siren unless you are the person who is in need.

They wouldn't be complaining so loud if the alarm was sounding to help one of their friends or family.I find it amazing what people will complain about when they feel they are discomforted,*****entitled people.
