We got another Ida tarbell in renee folks ! How do we know ? First she talks about the abundance of food. Oil in Idas days. next she is complaining about how bad it is, like Ida did. For the first time in history, we have an abundance of food and an activist women is against it. having something to eat is better than nothing.Starve, its natural says renee ! remember the alar scare years back ? we were supposed to die of cancer from eating apples.we didnt. Renee if it was not for the chemists like fritz haber and others, we would be facing starvation because our numbers have grown so. Our numbers have grown in the face of such obstacles renee lists . How is that possible renee ?So gals, your feminine mistake, er, mystique is showing again. You are making steiner proud. Leave the chemistry to the guys, gals. You mess things up. History shows it.

Great article as usual Renee.

Many of us are only asking for them to LABEL the food we eat and serve to our families. Let US make the choice if we want GMO and other additives in with our food. "Currently, 64 countries around the world require labeling of genetically engineered foods. Unlike most other developed countries – such as 15 nations in the European Union, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Russia and even China – the U.S. has no laws requiring labeling of genetically engineered foods." justlabelit dot com

In my home..we say NO to GMO and most additives. Yet I would never project that on to anyone else. The issue here is CHOICE. Let us decide what we want and do not want in with our food.

Homemade and Local foods can also help ensure you know really what you are eating. Thankfully we have a great farmer's market with plenty of good non gmo and other additives food items..including free range meat and eggs! Know what you are putting into your body.

judeye shows the great liberal mind in action . liberal see , liberal do. But judeye your kind wants to limit soft drink sizes, ban smoking , sugar etc. the libs show an amazing lack of knowledge about how the body works. What else can you expect from a lib when they are saving the planet. You gals are amazing , always getting things wrong. It is natural for you to do so. Shall we starve judeye? Libs , you ignore the obvious . Why is that.judeye, why do obvioua thing elude you ? why must the govt be like a mommy ? because women got the right to vote, thats why. Its mommy time big time now. the gals just never could do science on a scale the guys did.

Steiner, I'm a lib and I think limiting the size of a soft drink is dumb too. Your blanket statements are unnecessary. I prefer to know what's in my food and I want it labeled. My parents came up in a time of starvation right here in the USA. It wasn't because there wasn't enough food...there wasn't any money to buy it. My fathers sister actually died of starvation back in the 20's. I'm sure if there was money for food then, and grandpa could afford it, they would have eaten it even if it was GMO.

Judeye-remember the government mandate that nutritional info be posted in establishments such as McDonalds? Have you noticed all the people standing in line to read those charts before adding to their blubber? Thank goodness for our ever watchful food police right? I mean people are so much more fit and trim since those charts were posted!

The ingredients are on the label, nutrition values are posted an many places. If you don't like what you see listed don't eat it. And give others the same freedom to make the choice to eat it if they want. Keep the feds and state nannies out of how we want to eat. Not up to them to tell us what to eat or drink. If they don't read the labels or charts then it is their problem not the lefts nor the governments.

we got some smart people commenting here . Hey USMCvet, after std oil was broken up, its value quadrupled. Do you know anything ? You seem like DK. Gals, The observer has the answer to your health ! See Observer July 1, 2013, pg A4, abortion rights not synonymous with health by jonah goldberg. In it, abortion rights are linked to good, solid womens health. So gals, you wont get sick if the liberals are correct , you can have an abortion ! Libs love starvation as the increased ethanol from corn drove up food prices in the 3rd world. Any time people are starving , the socialists and activists are happy. blanket statements work usmcvet, women are prone to conversion disorder, look it up or read history.men and women behave differently from birth. This is well known to all except activists and especially the women.

Hey dk, did ya post my america not perfect posts on your corkboard? they illustrate just how non smart you are. Just think if tesla and whittle thought like you, no AC power or jet engine. real smart of you Dk. I have run into several people like you in chemicals. guess what ? They were fired .So dk show us again how smart you are ! dismiss the following, philosophy, ancient writing scholars , science, archeological digs etc .Why ? because DK said so. You have said nothing but sarcasm. It is the last resort of empty , dumb minds.

hey dkexpat, you love quotes and I have a good one for you ! In a book about frank whittle and the jet engine, frank gets a copy of a letter from the committee on gas turbines, sponsored by the National acadamy of science, June 10, 1940. In it they told frank the jet or gas turbine was a dud due to insufficient strength of the steel to the heat. the piston engine was good enough, the experts said. Now frank writes on the letter saying good thing he was too stupid to listen to the experts of the day ! the experts, dk, you and all your learned co workers. Good thing i was too stupid to listen to you or them when I built my steinertrons. the snortreniets !

Dk, did ya ever notice you never answer anything directly ? You produce quote after quote with no direct refutation. Dont undertand anything ? Ask a govt employee ! Dk thinks he is smarter than all the scholars , philosopohers and writers of the ancient texts. Got mental issues dk ? You said nothing about whittles letter from the experts like you.Thas a historical fact dk. Cant refute it ? why not ? Classic liberal, just disagrees saying, no facts or anything. now you are talking backwards, serious mental issues dk .
