"Seventy percent of the jobs we create leave the state by the end of the first year."

The real question is why? Might it be the difficulty in doing business in NY? The over regulation, high taxes and dysfunctional government.

A home inspector I know gave up and let his license expire. A real estate agent I know gave up and let her license expire and a well known lawyer I know no longer handles real estate. NRG closed. The gas station market across from Wal-Mart closed. Business closing up all over both Dunkirk and Fredonia. Hospitals laying off but the SSI roles keep climbing. I wonder if Greg Edwards isn't running because next year the taxes will go up 20%. I'm almost sold out of WNY and ready to say good bye!!! I've found greener pastures down south!!!

What a plan. Maybe move in 10 years or die of sticker shock when your first tax bill comes due. No taxes for the new but I guess the old will have to make up the difference. What about the INKDUBAITER program. You can't make this kinda stuff up!! I can't laugh because it sounds so dumb. But hey, I am new, just learning. I don't know.

Paul, usually what you write causes me to think about things at a different level, most times higher at that. Your response to HVAN this morning caused me to laugh out loud. You and I grew up in the same neighborhood so it might be the water in Little Italy or Chimera's pizza, but that comment was hysterical. Love starting my day with a belly laugh. Thank-you. BTW, your mom is the best.

If the governor really wants to promote businss why has he not spoken out on the NRG issue? Is that company and those jobs not worth saving? Why is he not proposing tax reform that will benefit all New Yorkers and not just new business? Why is he not telling us that the reason taxes are excessive is because special interests are running the state?

What a tool. Of all places. I mean Jamestown is the one city in CC that makes DK look like paradise.

By the way, "I love Jamestown"? LOL! He couldn't find it or anywhere else west of Albany without a decent GPS.
