Robert - you are not making much sense. You had better go deliver your papers. There are reasons why onlyu 7% of the private sector is uniionized and 45% of the public sector is orgasnized. The reason is that the private sector could not survive with union greed.

Phil PHil typical rightie. Hate the unions, if it wasn't for the unions you guys that worked in salary posistions would have had no benefits. You should be thankful that the working man would strike so salary workers would benefit. whats the word....leach..yeah thats it.

The driving force behind excessive taxes in New York State are the public sector unions and they contreol the state. Have you seen anything to suggest that Cuomo wants to bring those unions under control? Of course not - those unions are major campaign contributors. There is only one realistic answer to the state's fiscal problems. Unions have to be stripped of their power much as Governor Walker did in Wisconsin. Will we ever see that in New York? Probably not in our lifetime because money is power and unions have money.

From his alter boy days, Cuomo believes "Veni, Vidi, Visa."

"I came, I saw, I charged the heck out of you in state taxes...and came to Jamestown on a fool's errand hoping you'll believe this malarky, never mind that it'd hurt existing businesses trying to keep their heads above water."

(Okay, maybe not an exact translation.)

Mr editor, the libs believe, as many of the posters here post, that the govt is indispensible to life. They believe too that taxing ones way to prosperity is the way to a democratic utopia. Why even one of the posters says again and again, that school taxes are low here because the true cost is funded by someone lese. That someone else apparently does not pay taxes . This is the mindset we are fighting. Mass mental delusion from our govt leaders. I believe it impossible to overcome this. So do many businesses as they seem to close and leave the state.
