If you think secession sounds drastic.. did anyone catch this: ***********/blogs/news/northern-colorado-wants-secede-colorado-174432609.html

Seems Northern Colorado isn't exactly "all-in" with the Denver/Boulder dominated legislation of recent years.

Chau, Catt, All counties could all secede and join PA, which far better shares our interests than this NYC-dominated government. With fracking in PA allowed, you'd probably see Tioga and Broome secede as well, although the hellhole Binghamton might keep BC in NY.

So let's get this straight - the businell council of NYS opposes a private enterprise investing $500M into a complete overhaul of their power plant? Whose side is this "business council" on?

They've been told by Cuomo to reject NRG plans, because he's not going to make money off the NRG upgrade in the future.

And the conversion to NG is far cleaner than coal, for you tree-kissing enviro-whacks. NG is real cheap. A NG plant would save the consumers money in the long run. Keeping NRG also saves this city, and likely the neghboring towns and villages.

This would be one of the finals nails in the CC coffin. Time to secede and join PA. For so many reasons. #1 being - neither the Gov nor NYS itself care about us.

The choice is simple. Do we want a city that has been crushed and turned into a ghost town from the loss of NRG or do we want a project that will bring work, people and revenue to the area for years to come. Do we want the control of our energy to remain in our state or rely on another state or country? Do we have the knowledge to see the truth and act or will we hope someone else saves us?

We see the gobblygook response from Heather !Clean energy alternatives , upgrades and reduce demand says Heather ! hey Heather, our demand has reduced, thats why the plant can be taken out of service ! Heather, leave science and business to the guys who apparently are much better at it. 500 million at stake and people are second guessing ? Are we all dumbocrats now ?

Obviously Adolf Cuomo is more concerned with businesses that HE personally wants, and wants to be able to hand pick them himself so that they will in return send him money for his presidential run. He has no care for Western NY, we have too many guns. He has no concern for the taxpayer, they are being outnumbered by non-taxpaying voters in NY. He has no concern for real business and how it works, because he has no clue how it works. This is a man of the mindset that government is what takes care of people, and that we should all fall under his dictatorial commands, whatever they may be. WE NEED THIS POWER PLANT. We don't need Cuomo's hand picked environmentalists telling us that "we don't need more power, we need to cut back and we need to force them too if they won't do it themselves" (paraphrased of course). We also do not need a Councilwoman at large, who went door to door telling certain people that she would be happy to get rid of "that dirty coal burning e
