What we have here is another Academy Award performance by the champion of seniors, it's right up there with Sarah Bernhardt, isn't that so Senator Young

Sarbane, right on. Close your eyes and listen to both the Republicans and Democrats and for the most part you can not tell the difference. Remember, most of Cuomo's agenda had to be passed by the Republican majority in the State Senate. Case closed.

This article states: "If their plan is approved, NatGrid would make a huge profit at consumers' expense. It is projected they would make a 9.2 percent return...for 40 years! The ratepayers would be stuck with the bill, saddling residential consumers and businesses alike with increased energy costs."???

If this were true, and there's no reason to doubt it, why is the PSC even considering NatGrid's plan? The NYS Business Council, on which Nat Grid holds a seat, has publicly opposed NRG's plan to convert to NG, contending that doing so would raise consumer rates, yet Nat Grid's plan would do the same. Nat Grid would reap higher profits from delivering power from farther distances, much like the NYS Power Authority's 50-agreement that allows power generated from Niagara Falls to be sent downstate instead of providing WNY with it.

Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't that sweet senior citizen paying $5000 a year in property taxes because of all the expansions of Medicaid and other entitlements in NYS that Cathy Young and her fellow RINO Republicans voted for? Just like the Cuomo gun laws, passed with Republican support, most of what ails NYS is because politicians like Cathy Young say one thing to us, then go to Albany and vote the other way. Fact: Cathy Young for FOR every one of the budgets since she's been in Albany that create those highest-in-the-nation property taxes. I'm getting tired of her routine; enough bamboozling us with the sweetness wrapped around big spending.

Sentor Young properly tells the story of a senior citizen who pays $5,000 per year in property taxes and as a result cannot afford to buy food. Our county is dying a slow death because of the size and cost of government. We have many senior citizens in our county. They are too old to move and too poor to buy food. Our businesses like NRG. are struggling to survive while being taxed to death. We have a serious problem with the size and cost of government but very few people seem to care. Our leaders appear to be sound asleep.
