You do not need a sunny day for solar panels, just light. We don't live in Alaska, there is light in the winter. This is a good thing.

Judeye-really it can be stored? you mean using batteries(full of lead)and inverter's to convert to 110V,what about 220V Judeye? Have a clue? What they use wood? OMG what does the Sierra Club say about that? What if a spotted owl dwells in the tree, how could they destroy it's domicile? You mean you replaced it with an energy efficient one that burns what Judeye?Wind, sunlight,or?

joew...I do not have them...YET.

When we replace the furnace on the second floor we will try solar. When we replaced the other furnace (yes we have two furnaces) we did put in an energy efficient one.

I have friends who live at the point and have solar panels on their house. In fact, they make enough energy they are selling it!

I have friends in Arkwright who are completely off the grid. They use solar and wind and wood.

Energy from solar can be stored by the way...something some people I guess do not understand. You do not need sunny days all year long...and yes even in the winter we do have sunny days.

Where's Steinerdzzz? Where's Christuufuu? Where are the usual cast of characters that 1) say Cuomo spends nothing on this county and 2) spew anti-green renewable energy nonsense?

Gee, and all this against the backdrop of NRG...

I just looked up climate data for Jamestown. They average only 158 sunny days per year. (Actually the number was higher than I would have thought.) Let's remember these days are occurring mostly during the summer months. Six months of the year it's pretty darn dreary around here. Hardly suitable for solar energy.

This is what we really need more of in this area..and across our entire country. energy sources.

Looking forward to seeing the results of this project.
