Along with "Pelosi Blames Bush For IRS Scandal May 24, 2013" "When asked if Barack Obama should be held responsible because the scandal occurred on his watch, an obviously prepared Pelosi jumped in a flash to blame Bush:

“Well – you said it happened on his watch – it happened under the appointment of the head of the IRS – who was appointed by President Bush. His length of stay extended into President Obama’s stay. But I think that that points to the fact that, you know – why is this is a politicized issue?” Of course a da*ned democrat like her and other ones would try to lay the blame on ANYONE except the administration it happened under. One of the mottos you have to adhere to if you want be a true liberal you have to learn how to place the blame on someone else. Never your own party.

Those clear headed thinkers at MSNBC say there was no scandal and it was all about racism directed at the racist in charge. (Obama)."MSNBC Blames George W. Bush for the IRS Scandal" Yea FOX is so bad isn't it judeye. Yet you have trash like maddow and little eddie Haskell Opps sorry Schultz ( a lot alike those two) saying there was nothing wrong done. And judeye and Marcia eat it up like it was all in a trough for them.

"In 2013, the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) revealed that it had targeted political groups applying for tax-exempt status for closer scrutiny based on their names or political themes. This led to both political and public condemnation of the agency and triggered further investigations.[1] The Federal Bureau of Investigation began investigating the IRS's actions as part of a criminal probe ordered by United States Attorney General Eric Holder.[2] Initial reports had described the targeting as nearly exclusively on conservative groups with terms such as "Tea Party" in their names. Further investigation revealed that certain terms and themes in the applications of liberal-leaning groups and the Occupy movement had also triggered additional scrutiny, but at a much lower rate"

ha ha ha ha

love it when someone disagree with me..when all I do is ask for documentation

Yes folks..there really is a difference between opinion..and facts.

Facts can be backed up with evidence.

So where is the evidence...post it...clearly show anywhere in the transcripts it says that it was politically motivated. I am still waiting...

Oh yea, that is right..it is only an opinion..most likely from Rush or Beck or maybe Hannity..

joew..please post..cite..where in the transcripts it says that. Every testimony I read clearly stated that it was NOT political. "Two IRS officials testified before a House panel on July 18 that there was no political motivation involved in the Service’s delay of applications by conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. Elizabeth Hofacre, a revenue agent in the IRS Tax Exempt and Government Entities Division, and Carter Hull, a former IRS tax law specialist in the same division, repeatedly told lawmakers that the application delays were caused by senior IRS employees who wanted to review the applications."

Please cite where this information is not correct. Post the testimony by anyone who states that it was political by the WH.

I will wait....

marcia and judeye , wrong again. I say again. The order to profile came from an Obama appointee in DC. this from the WSJ who quotes an IRS staffer. Corporations write the code ? Are you kidding ? marcia, you listed in sarahs comments what you read. try reading something with some meat on it. You and judeye are guilty of poor sloppy thinking. You deny reality . That is a common liberl error. It must be contagious as so many libs do it. Hey marcia, the US has the highest corp tax rates in the world. If they paid everything they made in taxes it would not be enough. How does that escape you and judeye ? The corps did exactly what Wilson hoped they would do in his speech on underwood tariff. They would have to be more clever in their business. They did, all the money moved off shore. Gimmicks are used to get it here. Thanks libs . Marcia try and understand this.

Yes the demoncrats seem to have a lot of faux hysteria, especially about moral issues. Wait that's right if it's a moral issue they are against moral, like abortion etc. So it would seem they have faux morals.

She obviously got her talking points from Rolling Stones magazine and/or the Havana Times. She sure as heck didn't watch any of the proceedings other than maybe a couple of clips from the MSN ABC crowd selectively edited as they do so well! What she distorted was specifically addressed by IG George.

Yes we need to get rid of all those tax breaks that those highly represented poor people lobbied congress to get. Get real. The corporations write the tax codes to avoid paying taxes, and their bought representatives, from both parties, will never institute anything that would hurt those big pocketed helpers. They only say they want because it looks good and they know it will never pass. If we taxed all corporations, all income (including capital gains, did not allow off-shoring of profits, we would be in much better shape.

You may have missed but this so called scandal has been proven to be nothing but hot air. The reason all they discussed was tea party profiling was because that was all Issa asked for. Democrats tried to bring evidence of other profiling, which the republican led committee would not allow. Smoke and mirrors.

One would think from all of judeyes posts that she is an exceptionally gifted perso. She has all the answers for everything. Take from the workers, give to the non-workers, racism is behind every conservative thought(only white ones), that every conservative is hiding their money in offshore accounts. And left wingers like her do nothing wrong. Maybe she should run instead of Hillary Obama err I mean Clinton. She believes there is no such thing as a crooked democrat or an honest republican. She also thinks like a moron about a lot of things like this or Zimmerman. Good commentary Deann.

I read all the transcripts plus recorded the entire hearings so I could judge for myself instead of using someones talking points. Evidently Judeye you missed what the IRS IG(Mr George)said about what you claim are political reasons. There certainly were political dirty tricks involved Judeye. Why did Ms Lerner not want to answer any questions? Need I explain to you why not? Now get hold of Sen Reid and ask him to get those job bills on the docket will ya?

judeye is wrong again as usual. The unlearned poster is telling others how to be unlearned. hey judeye, the wsj printed a reply from an IRS employee saying the order to sidetrack tea party , conservative groups came from an Obama appointee in Washington. judeye, it is you who cherry picks, you who wants to limit free speech. judeye , why does free speech bother you so ? disagreeing with a liberal a crime now? Let us know oh unlearned poster.Do you want to mandate so called fairness ? tell us why speech bothers you and especially citizens united. tell us why you aree silent on union politicking. Why must all bend to the democratic regime ? I dont want to judeye. i dont need a mommy like you to help me think. i do that very well for myself oh learned liberal.

I suggest this writer go back and actually READ the transcripts from the hearings, not just the cherry picked ones that Rep Issa choose to release...for oh my...political reasons.

Might want to ask him why the fact that many progressive groups were also 'profiled' as the IRS tried to sort through the huge, (by thousands) of increases in tax exempt status by groups since Citizen United decision. Groups could get a tax exempt status and do 'some' political activity. (anyone else think that rewriting of this rule is needed?)

The scandal is that only partial information was given out and in many cases only even asked for, making a mockery of a 'hearing' which is to be focused on getting to the truth..not a vehicle for political gain.

Shame on you Rep Issa!!

Excellent commentary Deann. I might point out that Ted Cruz has already begun that process on the other side of Congress.
