steiner is so confused as usual. Detroit suffered from the same economic depression as other areas of the great lakes after the end of world war II. The auto industry failed because they designed and built crappy, gas guzzling vehicles.

hey cruisin, you forgot the great liberal acheivement of detroit. Liberals and unions sunk it. 45 square miles of was a great american city. Liberals sunk it. Where is cronig. I must congratulate him on such a liberal deed. Hey cruisin, read what Wilson said in his underwood tariff. The companies and the business men would have to be more clever to make money as the govt via a liberal and his income tax was going to steal it.Historical fact. The companies became clever. They moved it offshore. Another unintended consequence of liberalism. Those smart liberals.

Build it and they will come. Too bad Alco, the Silk Mill, Two radiator companies, A "Shovel Plant", Steel plant and Tastee Freeze all left Dunkirk (maybe for different reasons) at the sae time. Job or lack of them is the problem.

Unfortunately, Wall Street isn't interested in Mr Smith's basic tenets. They are of the opinion that the invisible hand of the market is there to make themselves rich at everyone elses expense. It's a flavor known as mercenary economics. It's why american jobs are being sent overseas and why consumers are now expected to pay artisan prices for mass-produced goods. It's why developers are only interested in building housing for the 1% and shopping malls for the 1% and travel destinations for the 1%. Its why no one will come to Dunkirk and rescue them.

cronig is at it again. Notice how he deflects the argument , saying liberalism gave us all things. really What exactly? Liberalism did not give us the electric industry, nor oil and chemical, nor electronics , etc. So pray tell unlearned cronig , what in the world are you talking about ? cronig, face it you are so unlearned as to continually call names and use flowery language. You have little facts. Does liberalism pay the taxes that the govt then gives out to the city folk so they can shoot each other ? enlighten us , oh unlearned, nay plain stupid cronig. judeye ,where are you ? cronmig i and the world owe NOTHING to liberals. Nothing . We owe EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING to private industrialists like rockefeller, tesla, jobs, etc. get a clue cronig. You are an absolute fool of a poster. tell us how we have benefited from liberalism cronig .You just rant, i have facts.

You know NOTHING of economics, Steinerdzzzz. You have personally benefited and continue to benefit from liberalism and its policies, to the same depth & breadth of your rants against it.

On one hand, it must*****to be you, to hate something to which you owe so much. On the other hand, every day, I find it uncontrollably hilarious to know you hate something to which you owe so much.

The good doctor got it right. But our liberlas in washington dont believe it. They want us to buy electric cars. They subsidize rich people to buy very expensive cars. All of this is a money loser, but the libs just love wasting money. Its their heritage. Capitalism lifted people out of poverty. capitalistic inventions took the burden off our backs and put them on machines. All of this the liberals hate in their endless schemes to force us into the liberal mindset. Thanks doc.
