My son and I was at the South Street Seaport in NYC. We ended up walking miles up Broadway, to the Village to meet my niece. Then we went to Times Square to check on a friend, and finally to Port Authority where the City provided buses for those people who wanted to get to NJ, where we were staying. The buses took everyone to Giant Stadium where they could transfer to another bus to get them to the area they wanted to go. It was an efficient way to get people moving quickly, but it was almost midnight before we got home. Everyone in Manhattan was fantastic, enjoying themselves, all being very helpful to complete strangers. An adventure for us, and a story to tell when he got back to school.

Who can forget this blackout ? I remember the wind was not blowing much so windmills could not offer much relief. All that blackout from a remote Ohio origin. We gotta be due for another big blackout. They seem to be every 10 years or so. Thanks to tesla for a great alternating current system and motor. the world runs on it. The libs hate it, it works.
