Let the people who manage the landfill run it keep politicians out of it and there will be fewer problems!!!!

Where does this money go? Is it designated or open to fill in any deficit?

I like "with as little out-of-state". Neither mentioned the cost of the wear on our roads with the extra traffic and the need for newer cells quicker the more we allow in. This is a benefit to taxpayers and we need to look at the long term financial impact of what we allow, not just short term looking good. We must remember that the vote to help towns and villages with the disposal of building waste is a good thing, but it will reduce the profit of the landfill and increase the waste. Each credit is worth 80 tons of waste going down our roads and into our landfill for free. This is good way for County government to help, but we must wait and see the impact before we make the next big change as we will need a new cell sooner.

I bet NYC sends some of its waste, human and other to ellery. Libs, take note. The landfill is not losing money. You got to fix that. Turn it into a money loser.
