Ok Judeye, I just recieved the preliminary information on the health care plan that I currently am enrolled in...My coverage is going down (much higher deductable amounts) the co-pay is now a higher threshhold until the insurance covers the rest AND I get to pay 10.7% higher premiums. Yes Judeye obamacare is GREAT....keep sipping that drink.

cripple the economy worse than the housing bubble. And the IRS is in charge of saying who will face fines for non-compliance? There have never been any malicious agents going after innocemt people from that agency, right? Yeah, this will be ghreat for America and the taxpaying middle class, keep drinking that kool-aid..don't worry about the almond smell....

I've often wondeered how in the blue blazes the "Reverend" Jim Jones got all those people to voluntarily drink poison...after giving it to their children first! Now I see how. Between Obama's cult of personality and fear of offending him (for his possibly well intentioned?) stupid idea by telling him it is a stupid idea. The answer from the left? You are a racist or you don't care about women's health or both. Who is going to pay for millions of peoples "free" health care? Marcia, Judeye, Troll? Are you going to pay triple the current rates you are paying? So the newly granted insta-citizens, you know, the people that managed to break the law long enough without getting caught? Until the democrats could give them their get out of jail free card? I pay for my families health insurance and the premiums have tripled in the last five years. Why? And why are so many of Obama's political cronies getting exemptions from this modern marvel? This great idea is going to

Marcia did you notice the words enforcement and compliance. You might want to delve a bit into the act and read of the powers granted to the IRS relative to Obamacare. HHS has no authority to fine you or take money from you Marcia, the IRS does. If you would care to borrow my copy of the bill(although it changes almost daily)I'll be more than happy to loan it to you.

Do you remember "if you want to know what is in it then you have to pass it first"? Not sure of the exact wording at the moment but that is awful da*n close to it.

I'll make a deal with you Marcia. I'll try to get everyone else to quit lying about this atrocity as soon as you get the democrats to do stop. Sounds like a fail deal.

joew, perhaps the truth is in order. You should know by now that the IRS is not the "lead" agency over healthcare. That would be the Dept of health and Humam Services. The ONLY thing the IRS is doing is verifying if someone qualifies for assistance paying for it based upon their income tax returns. The republicans need to quit lying about this issue.

Sure Marcia we'll give it a chance. Maybe you can convince Obama to stop missing deadlines(41 of 82 thus far)and stop giving out waivers to his friends and campaign donors! Not one of the missed deadlines by the way had anything to do with Republican Obstructionism as you call it. Care to take a stab on why the delays until just after the 2014 midterms. Sheer coincidence I'm sure right? Do you know they are still writing the bill and the pages keep piling up? The IRS will be the lead agency to insure compliance and enforcement, the freaking IRS in charge of your healthcare insurance!!

No they are just trying to do the will of a majority on this one. Only a few diehards (% wise) left ( from the left wingnuts) that will stand by this atrocity.

The point of obamacare is to provide insurance to those who cannot get or afford it. It can and will work, but the republicans need to stop obstructing. If they are so sure it will be a failure they would let it fail, they are just afraid it will work.

"The point of Obamacare" is to force his will on the American people. That is all it does except add another set of taxes.

Marcia said "How can anyone call it a failure when the main tenant of the plan hasn't even started? Wait a few years and see what happens." A very good indicator it's going to be a monumental flop? They still don't have the exchanges in place, there are more people every day clamoring to get away from it, and NO ONE can say what the final cost to the tax payers is going to be. For any one of those reasons I'd say it's a failure. But you want to wait?... For a few years? See that offer I made to Judeye earlier Marcia..I have side by side lots available. You two can be neighbors. Maybe you can save some money and build the swimming pier as a community project?

The point of Obamacare is to help people who are uninsured purchase insurance. Why would the Congress get it? They, like most Americans, get their insurance through their employer. How can anyone call it a failure when the main tenant of the plan hasn't even started? Wait a few years and see what happens. And why do they have to spend so much to advertise it? Because the republicans have told so many lies that they need to set the record straight.

"First regarding Kaiser..it was this paper who called it a respected non partisan organization. Did you miss the opening lines of the editorial?" So what. I don't care who calls them respected non partisan and who doesn't. What I posted came from Wikipedia that bastion of the left for facts. If he donates to Obama, if he helps raise money for Obama, then it would follow to reason Kaiser is for Obama. If that is the case (and it is) then he is not to be trusted anymore then Obama. Simple enough for even you judeye I hope.

MikeDavis...where did you get any figures on how much it will cost?

Every report that I have read so far indicates that people in NY will see a REDUCTION.

Now if you have studies that show this is not correct, would you cite them so I can read them for myself.

First regarding Kaiser..it was this paper who called it a respected non partisan organization. Did you miss the opening lines of the editorial?

Have any of you looked at who is paying for the ads against Obamacares? What do they have to lose? Why would they be spending so much money to spread misinformation and confuse the public?

As for 26 yr old not being children any longer....they will ALWAYS be their parent's child no matter how old they get.

Things have changed. Look around, how many of your friends adult children are still living at home and getting some help from their parents? Not saying if I agree or not..only that it is a fact.

As for me, I look forward to the implementation of the ACA. I know it will help so many, including seniors like me!

Now if we only could get single payer or at least a public option....

golly, all the learned libs are cherry picking ! All the time paul christopher accuses the right wing of it, but when the left does it it its OK.hey judeye, christopher ,cronig, you keep ignoring the recent letter from big unions wanting obamcare fixed or are the unions right wing now. Proof positive libs cannot think, just read their posts. The union letter sinks your position learned libs, you do know that.even some democrats are saying that the law is problematic and needs to be fixed. You libs are short on facts but great on mocking

Members of Congress have good health insurance by any standard, but it’s not free and not reserved only for them – and it’s not government insurance. House and Senate members are allowed to purchase private health insurance offered through the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, which covers more than 8 million other federal employees, retirees and their families. Oh Oh Kaiser is one of those judeye hates so much "An 2011 article by Bill Allison of the Sunlight Foundation analyzed Kaiser's business activities and his use of legal tax avoidance strategies, including how during the 1980s bust in the oil industry in Oklahoma and Texas, Kaiser bought up struggling energy companies whose losses provided him with tax deductions that effectively offset his own income and left him with little or no tax liability" ht tp://en.wikipedia.o rg/wiki/George_Kaiser

So much for the Kaiser foundation "Kaiser was a fundraiser for the 2008 presidential campaign of Barack Obama, and functioned as a campaign bundler for Obama: an individual who collects contributions to a candidate from others that are then simultaneously given to the candidate.[35] At one 2007 event for Obama, he raised more than $250,000."

Uh oh, the little girls are in a snit...

Michelle D, why does Congress recuse (people still talk like that?) itself?? THEY HAVE A BETTER INSURANCE 100% COVERED BY TAXPAYERS FOR LIFE PLAN! -- plus Congress exempting (the correct word...)itself from all sorts of other federal laws (try googling it).

Federal employees are the same way -- they have a tremendously generous healthcare -- all paid for by the taxpayers. Now with ACA, they'll have to pay more themselves...and you, of all people, have an issue with this???

Oh, and "troll"? Is that supposed to make me feel bad? And why use a little girl doll, along with "kool-aid" -- there must be some fixation going on here...

Judeye...keep believing the party line about the cost to the average family. Oh...and I have some land for sale. You'll love the view of the water. Most people would call it liquid sewage, but it's being labeled by the democratic party...it's just pretreated water.
