September 10, 2013

A dark tragic day for every American.

The day when we were not divided by politics, race, religion, creed, or ethnicity. We were UNITED as ONE COUNTRY.

I remember two days later when they called on us to go outside and hold a candle for 15 min in memory of all who had lost their lives in the attacks. Along with several friends we went to our front sidewalk holding our lit candles. Soon the college kids across the street came out, then the college kids down the street, then the neighbors, before long our entire street was lined with candles. Someone started singing, and soon we all joined in, Star Spangled Banner and America.

I never felt so united as One County..One Nation...truly under God ...than that moment.

Let us never forget...

Maybe we can learn from this experience. If someone wants to do us harm they don't need Tomahawk missles and unmanned drones. Of the 19 terrorists 15 were from Saudi Arabia and none were from Iraq. We lost nearly 3,000 innocent lives on 9/11/01 but we got even. We went to Iraq where we lost another 4,500 soldiers at a cost of $1 billion. Do you think our foreign policy might be the problem? Have you ever wondered why so much of the world hates our government? First it was New York City. Then it was Boston. I wonder who or where is next.

correction - make that a cost of $1 trillion - it was $12-15 billion per month for ten years.

Well for sure, the jihadists took all the fun out of flying. Holding candles ? i dont see any purpose in that. It does not answer the question why do they hate us so much.this is a battle for and about ideas. It is like the libs and their desire to control us, but on a global scale. until this is grasped , we will flounder. Many people were confounded about bin ladens comments about the ottoman empire and the suffering of the islamic world in the past 80 years. they thought america was at fault. Many of the islamic worlds problems can be traced to the aftermath of ww1, not ww2.

hey phil, the islamic people should be hating the brits and the french. they were the ones that redrew the mideast around 1920. Wilson won the war and went back home. WW2 arrived, we won and went back home. Korea arrived , we had to stay on the world scene. the berlin wall collapses as did the USSR. the consensus was peace was breaking out. terrrism rose again. kosovo was a battle for islam and they attacked us.we made them rich from oil and they attacked us. If someone was making me rich, i would not attack them. no, they are jealous to an extreme degree. like a liberal when you say tax cut or citizens united. froth appears at the mouth. All the glory they had with haroun al rashid disappeared when the ottoman empire collapsed after ww1.

Well it appears we have forgotten considering it's been one year since Benghazi where 4 Americans were murdered and it's being swept under the rug.Strange that the news networks can interview the murders yet this country sits on it's hands allowing these rats to run free, yea we remember.

For once, Steinerdzzz is correct -- read the latest book, "Lawrence in Arabia." Its a good read, very fascinating and by the end, you will thoroughly understand, as Charlie Wilson said, "we (the West) screwed up the end game (islamic countries and middle east)."

Toadeeeewww -- not surprising at all, that you pick one of your nits off your scalp -- BENGHAZI!! -- and desperately try to make it out like a blood sucking vampire -- SCANDAL!! SWEPT UNDER THE RUG!! B-E-N-G-H-A-Z-I!! Such is a delusionist.

Dcroakernig why don't you pass those comments on to the families of the four murdered Americans that still to this day have not gotten what your pal Obama promised them in a face to face meeting at Dover! You make me sick!

Lots of remembrance ceremonies here in DC today and a minute of silence at 8:46a. Friend of mine's wife was on the plane that hit the Pentagon...
