Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow May your heart and soul find peace and comfort. May the blessings of love be upon you, May its peace abide with you, May its essence illuminate your heart, Now and forever more Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends for strength, and always remember how much you are cared about. We pray the love of God enfolds you during your difficult times and he helps you heal with the passage of time. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Our hearts go out to you in your time of sorrow. Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that are happy.

judeye: ignore such childish behavior and consider it a compliment.

DK & judeye: I made a comment a couple of days ago regarding the same childish action. What's even more amusing (and infantile) is they won't even offer an opposing view, they simply hit the disagree button, like this will protect their anonymous name (LOL).

More importantly, I do want to offer my sincere condolences to this boy's family. What a surreal tragedy.

PR24601..and is that not a shame that just because I have a different view on many issues people would write off all my comments. Even the ones where I offer simply sympathy and prayers?

This is what is wrong with our Country. People with different opinions, different views, on how to move our Nation forward are not enemies. The debates, differences, discussions are what is needed in a DEMOCRACY where we are not all forced to think alike.

Too many just do not seem to get that...

and our Country suffers....

DK, some people just don't like judeye.

@Barker, I think you are on to something. They've lamented the lost art of the tackle for some time now, and one would think there have been enough incidents to move back towards tackling, and not hitting.

The hits in the NFL are vicious. They've gotten worse, even as they've installed the helmet-to-helmet bans. This unfortunately perpetuates into the lower levels and not midget footballers are hitting in the open field instead of tackling. Why? It's borderline assault, not a clean tackle.

I love football. However, this "hitting" (bad open field tackling) has become a detriment to the quality of the game. Either the receiver avoids the hit and is not brought down, or they hit the deck in a daze. Neither are good for the game.

This is so tragic. But football has always been this way and will always continue to be this way until there are some drastic changes. Change the rules so that the only intentional "hitting" allowed in football would be to block an opposing player. Outlaw intentional hitting as part of tackling. Require that a defensive player drag down or wrestle down a ball carrier. The helmet and shoulder pads would then move from being weapons, to becoming pieces of protective equipment to protect against the accidental or incidental hits that will remain. I think it could still be very exciting and would better showcase a player's athleticism. Any player can take a cheap shot against another, but not all players can be caught and brought down so easily when hitting at full steam is not allowed.
