Sure and so as not be be asked to prove it or seem biased I refer you to the Chautauqua County Charter(PDF)and the Chautauqua County Administrative Code(PDF). In those two documents you will find the answers you seek such as how many executive assistants the County Executive may appoint. Happy reading!

joew, Is road plowing and maintaining mandated? Is paying a legislator or aides mandated? How about veteran's services, mental services, parks, etc? How many aides does Edwards have? What is your point? They only call putting money into the county home as a deficit, and I want to know why. No other departments are supposed to be self-sustaining.

Marcia you really sound(at times)like a intelligent person so I ask this question of you-do you understand services that are mandated and required by law as opposed to those that are not????????

Again I ask why is paying for a government service like the nursing home considered running a deficit? Why do you not consider paying for the county prison, roads, the county legislatureand executive salaries running a deficit? These are all services provided, as is the county home. and Edwards is trying to push this through before the election. how much research has been done on this company?
