bulldog10,

The majority of what? Registered voters? Only those who voted for them? Residents? Property owners? Only those in their district?

And what if what the majority wants would be very bad for the district?

Also following that logic, once 51% of the country is total dependent on government the rest of us should have our taxes raise every year since the majority want more of our money?

Darkstar, complicated reply. Politicians should listen to the majority, that is who elected them. The majority, not the minority. Simple things like police, streets, public safety, the military those are common sense issues.

Gay marriage, selling the county home, legalization of pot, immigration etc are the ones left to the majority.

In this country the majority should rule, however the minority has cried, and cried, and cried. Sort of like a baby or Lori Cornell and they seem to get their way. That not the way it should be done. DO you wonder why this country is screwed up????

bulldog10,

Actually your wrong, we are a representative republic and when we elect someone to office we truly aren't electing them to do what we want and not them, and instead they are elected to do what is best for our town/County/region/State/Country. And is supposed to represent ALL the people, not just the majority. Often times being a leader means doing what is needed, not what it wants.

For example, slavery needed to stopped in this country no matter what the people wanted.

We need police, fire department, road maintenance, a well equipped military and many other services, no matter what a majority think.

If the majority of the people in the US felt homosexuality should be illegal do you think our elected officials should pass a law making it illegal and have the police start rounding them up?

The people took a big dump on Lori Cornell and rightfully so. She is a fake and has no clue of what the majority of the people want. When elected you should be doing things the majority want not what your own views are. She is in it for herself, no one else. A true fake.

Second time she lost. She's too dumb to take the hint. She will probably run for Legislator in the future. Maybe Barmore will let her change tires. He has a long term successful business here's hoping he doesn't destroy what Sandy worked so hard to create.

your post makes no sense to us Christopher, Cornell lives and represents the Jamestown area(South County) the big fear especially by the union folks is that CCH will finally be sold, just like the majority of taxpayers want

No, the economy will not be moving forward. The South County will now be in total control of the entire county, woe to us in the north, the obvious step child in the mix.
