Commentor "vinnie" as you call him can not make miracles all by himself,he needs people to stand with him. We can ill afford those that utter bitter remarks about anything in this county.

I would like tio tell Mr. Horrigan the same thing I told Mr. Edwards when he took office. YOU MUST MAKE SUBSTANTIAL REDUCTIONS IN THE SIZE AND COST OF GOVERNMENT AND THAT CAN BE BEST ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH MERGERS AND CONSOLIDATIONS. I realize there are many in the county who resist mergers but it has to be done if we want to restore investor confidence in the private sector. Why not start with law enforcement. It makes no sense to have seven full time law enforcement agencies in a county of only 133,000 residents. Merge all of them into the Sheriff's Department with satellite stations where needed to insure quality service. I personally believe that all government functions should be centralized at the county level. I think Mr. Horrigan understands the problem and we can only hope that he has the courage and public support to restore growth and prosperity to our once proud county.

I wonder when the cries by the left will start that he "stole" the election by some dubious unfair means. After all they have done that before.

Christopher: You don't make progress by standing on the sidelines, whimpering and complaining. You were born crying, you are constantly complaining, keep it up and you will surely die disappointed. Your tendency for whining and complaining may be taken as the surest sign and symptom of a little soul and inferior intellect.*****it up, Buttercup! The voters have spoken loud and clear!
