State leaders make it happen

December 30, 2013

By RICHARD MAKUCH We all have known for a long time how good our representation has been from Albany, but this time our representatives have gone above and beyond. I am talking about Sen....

Positive RF values represent average surface warming and negative values represent average surface cooling. CO2 has the highest positive RF (see Figure 1) of all the human-influenced climate drivers compared by the IPCC. Other gases have more potent heat-trapping ability molecule per molecule than CO2 (e.g. methane), but are simply far less abundant in the atmosphere and being added more slowly. WHat ?? Oh stuper steiner what you say ?

CO2 has caused most of the warming and its influence is expected to continue. CO2, more than any other cf driver, has contributed the most to climate change between 1750 and 2005. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued a global climate assessment in 2007 that compared the relative influence exerted by key heat-trapping gases, tiny particles known as aerosols, and land use change of human origin on our climate between 1750 and 2005.[3] By measuring the abundance of heat-trapping gases in ice cores, the atmosphere, and other climate drivers along with models, the IPCC calculated the “radiative forcing” (RF) of each climate driver—in other words, the net increase (or decrease) in the amount of energy reaching Earth’s surface attributable to that climate driver. ---to be continued---

Torpedoes that carry no high explosives but can still blow up their targets are now a possibility, says the Naval Undersea Warfare Center at Newport, Rhode Island, US.

The Navy?s new torpedo has an outer shell of titanium which houses a payload of aluminium metal chunks. The heat from the rocket motor melts the aluminium en route, so by the time the torpedo reaches its target, the titanium shell is full of liquid metal.

On impact, a small charge ruptures the shell allowing the molten metal escape into and instantly vaporize the surrounding water. This creates an underwater vapour explosion with shock waves carrying molten metal shrapnel. courtesy - "molten aluminum bomb"

As far as the lowly hydrogen atom. lol, take 50 pounds of molten aluminum and drop it it 100 gallons of water. then find another house

Hence the invention of the power converter Dc to Ac. Hows that stupid ! Or did you think they dont make those, they show them on PBS you know.

i just cant resist. we see from photosynthesis and in our lead acid batteries, that the lowly hydrogen atom is more valuable than all the libs who have ever lived or will live. hydrogen is certainly more valuable than all the LWVs past present and future. How do you feel now gals ? insignificant is what you should feel. the simplest atom is more valuable than most of the people on the planet ! steiner loves hydrogen. some of his prodcts just cant work without hydrogenation. another guy thing gals. get the mocks posters . cronig where are you ?

so cade, what is the solution to electricity without fire ? it is the air glow layer. tesla knew this and even PBS, not foxnews has run specials on this. So the genius steiner, get those mocks cronig, will build or is building a machine to just that.it maybe hard for the unlearned liberals to fathom but the weather is a cosmic phenomenon.the lightning originates at least 80 mile up where the air is thin. thinner than the mind of a liberal. even the ancient knew this as peter was called the son of thunder. that means cosmic forces will work in peter. Now cronig thinks it is the govt probably that makes rain. you libs are unbelievably stupid, there is no other way to say it. Did the govt fund tesla cronig? Nope. but he gave us the system we use today. the gals with green energy are trying to undo that. DC , not AC is all you get from green . those gals again ! Ac runs nearly all the big motors we use to live. feeling stupid cade ?

hey cade, for every gallon of gasoline you burn, you get a gallon of water. Quick, tell that to the LWV who think we will run out of water. plus the earth is absorbing water from outer space via comets. Photosynthesis is the only water splitting thing i know of. the tree splits the water for the hydrogen and hydrogenates the co2 into wood. the oxygen is emitted as a waste product.imagine if a chemical company were to announce they were going to split massive amounts of water ! Why the LWV would faint on the spot, even twitching would be seen. more science for you cade.So cade, you are just not that bright science wise. You think so, but libs are deluded. even algore said we have added a huge amount of water to the earth ! No fooling al, but the earth is 75% water. understand this cade ?

cade, you dont even know how the weather works do you. here is the proof, right from the weather people on tv. its a sweltering summer day. humidity 70 % or so. It does not rain. Indeed it cant rain. Do you knw why cade? There is nothing to trigger the rain. No upper level disturbance to lift it to condense into rain. Once again cade you show how ignorant you are. meanwhile the temps will not fall at night as water holds an enormous amount of heat. thats why they use water in the boilers cade. even thin wispy clouds at night keep the temperature from falling. the co2 level is meaningless to the amount of water vaoor in the air at all times. analytical chemists know co2 does not trap heat water does. i guess you never boiled water cade ? got any more mocks ?

more for cade, from PBS on the 7 Pm news. the great energy revolution in america bought about by fracking. The announcers said that this was totally unforeseen by anyone. yes anyone. We thought we had seen the decline of american energy production since the 70s they said. So cade, when we had little energy it was bad. now we have a lot and that is bad. everything is always bad for a liberal, Why, cuz they are stupid ! so cade, you and the libs NEVER ANSWER what we will replace energy fron hydrocarbons with. tell us oh unlearned cade. talk to the LWV, learned judeye, marcia, etc. You have no answer. So is PBS foxnews ? did the koch bros sway them somehow ? let us know liberal ! the story is always the same from a liberal Govt great, private industry bad. that flies in the face of history, but facts mean nothing to liberals.

hey cronig for someone unwilling to waste time on me you sure do ! mock after mock from you. You libs just cant believe there are people like me. so cronig where is the listg of liberal largess projects ? there aint any but you wont admit that. hey cade, it is the libs who believe in error that co2 traps heat in the atmosphere. it does NOT. Water vapor does and you get more water vapor from burning natural gas.this is established science cade, even if you dont know it ! I was trying to point out the fallacious liberal thinking, but you could not grasp that. pollution? where is that? where are the mass deaths and calamities you keep refering too ? only in your delusions cade. you have many delusions, like crong and his beloved govt. It was not the govt, but people like me who made america.

I agree that council members should have spoken out at the meeting. There is a serious question being raised. Does the governor have the authority to over rule the PSC?

All Stiener (aka Sheldon Cooper) wants is more pullution. Yeah, he love the lake in the 70s when you could see all those oil slicks and dead fish daily. Now he cries again about why we should burn coal, but wants to pound on how great fracking is. Now he says NatGas puts to much water in the air to promote global warming, which he himself denies all day long. CO2 is no big deal for the Gas fire NRG if they install the products I posted here 5 times. CO2 can be cut down to zero emissions with this companies product. And to much water in the exhaust will heat up the earth from NatGas burning, lol, yeah till it rain. Someone need to read more bedtime stories Stiener. Get real. And tell you buddy Boehner is funny like you are.

Steinerdzzz, with you, I simply am unwilling to waste my time, effort and self-respect trying to discuss/convince/counter any nonsense out of your mouth with any remote facts.

Your understanding of science, economics, arithmetic, english -- not to mention basic hygiene -- is so bizzaro loopy, its a wonder you not in some half-way house outside of Gowanda (or maybe you are...).

Let me get this straight...this county, which has less than 1% of the NYS population, with its two state legislatures, GOP Goodell and Sen Young, somehow, somewhere, sometime was able to get/convince/hoodwink uber-politico son-of-Mario and wunderkind from the Bill Clinton administration Gov Cuomo????

Seriously? That's like saying two Mormon missionaries visited the Vatican and converted the Pope!!!

HA!

It was all Cuomo and the Democrats.

hey hadenough, let me answer your question as to why spend the money for natural gas when coal works just fine. the answer is , liberals hate coal, thats why. liberals think coal, because it has more carbon than natural gas and that carbon makes for co2 which traps heat, it must be replaced. but the funny thing when you burn natural gas you emit more water vapor which is many times more heat trapping than co2. real science ! the libs think they solved the problem, but they did not. But liberals are stupid people any ways. Notice cronig and cade never really say anything but mocks.but even that ignores the real issue. why is natural gas so cheap and abundant ? fracking by private enterprise. this was NOT a liberal largess program as the deluded cronig thinks. amazing how people can be wrong for so long eh, hadenough ? just read the libs here.

Yes, it is odd that the PSC hasn't made a formal announcement to confirm it will rule in NRG's favor, too, but c'mon, does anyone really believe Cuomo would allow himself to be so easily discredited w/o discussing this matter w/the PSC first? Like him or not, Cuomo is much smarter than that.

If the plan to convert the Dunkirk plant doesn't happen, it'll be b/c NRG "reconsidered," w/the help of private negotiations "encouraging" such reconsideration, no doubt. Welcome to the world of politics.

Since that day the day Cuomo came to town nothing more has been said about NRG. Now we all know that the PSC must approve the plan and so far not a word. So was Cuomo posturing or has the PSC taken a hiatus for the Xmas season? Either way electric rates in NYS are going up. So why spend the money for natural gas when coal works jut fine.
