We lose if Home is sold

What kind of fools do the VestraCare people think we, the taxpayers of Chautauqua County, are? VestraCare, i.e....

lets see....$7000 a day lost ,times 90 = $630000. plus the lower bid of $500,000. Total lost is just 90 days $1,130,000 because we dont want to sell. Sure lets delay it somemore. say another year to get a lower off and spend another $2.6 million to keep it afloat. Then we can cry how they only offered us $14 million. Common sence.

Why would we need this if as some are saying the Home is not losing money everyday. -------"A 34-year-old Edward Farbenblum smiled and asked Legislator Janet Keefe why we turned down the Intergovernmental Transfer Fund money, $3.6 million"

The report said we are not losing money. And if we were why would selling it not lower taxes?

CadeFoster..Where you getting your numbers??..From the CCH Finance Director who is for privatization and was put there by Edwards??..Why dont you do the math on the Airports, how much do they lose every year..After that, why dont you take a one way flight out of here from the Jamestown Airport, have a nice lunch at the restaurant there before you leave(there wont be any lines)and there wont be any lines to catch a flight, thats because you will be the only one using it..

Sound like Norman ready to lose it. Party, fat jokes, how sad. The party will be in Chautauqua County everywhere. One pizza a month for a year or about $17 a month. I agree American, sell it and move on!

It is sad when emotions trump facts. Maybe, it is the beginning of eliminating layer after of layer of wasteful and unnecessary spending.

Again I will ask....show me where in the budget the CC is losing money. Show me with the IGT funds that it has cost us $7,000 a day. Oh ..so some say the IGT funds are tax dollars. So what..so is state aid to our schools. You really want to see how high our taxes would go if the schools turned that money down?

Show me the numbers...show me which page of the budget goes to the CC and shows a deficit. Do you really think the CGR report was wrong when it said we were being misled..the home operates on a SURPLUS. If so, why are we not asking for the $80,000 we paid for this report to be returned?

Great Letter..raises many more questions. Once again though...too many just want to go along with what they have been told rather than using their own brain to think it out. Thinking is too much work.

Sale of this home is nothing more than greed. SHAMEFUL GREED

Under the headline of " Vote on Sale of Home nears" you will read the following .........."Certain legislators seem to still be undecided about the future of the Dunkirk facility and its impact on the county budget. The nursing home's projected expenses are an estimated $20 million for 2014, compared with a projected revenue amount of $17.4 million.

The difference of $2.6 million breaks down to more than $7,000 in daily losses"

LOL, norman your so funny, but guess what , you have to work the rest of your lazy life, cry when thing change like the home being sold. I dont care about anything, I get to enjoy life, do what I want and when I want. -- And when did you see me cry and whine ( like your doing now) about welfare ? But i do have one tenant who does get Section 8, out of many tenants. Any property owner with multiple homes will have someone on assistance one time or another. So Norman go back to bed and su ck your oversized thumb and cry yourself to sleep about how the home is losing $7000 A DAY ! and may be sold soon because of clowns like you.

Norman and judeye are living? proof that most liberals are willing to support any social welfare program at any cost. Chautauqua county will wind up like Detroit if they continue to get their way. Tax and spend damocrats and the taxpayers be da*ned.

I'd like to know the justification of why the County should not be in the nursing home business but it should be in the airport and restaurant business??? The hand writing is on the wall. The Jamestown Airport is going down. Big airlines have a hard time turning a profit but the County thinks it should support the airports. Has anyone seen their financials to see if they are losing money?? Horrigan is buddy buddy with the Jamestown Airport guy so he's not interested in that can of worms. Rebel people.....Rebel!!!!
