CARMEL, N.Y. (AP) — New York State police say a 15-year-old boy found a hypodermic needle in a package of sliced white bread.
According to the Journal News, (http://lohud.us/1dwPWqI ) the boy's mother contacted police and the Westchester County health officials after her son found the needle while eating a piece of toast on Friday. Officials told the paper the bread was purchased two days earlier a grocery store in Somers. They say it was made by Bimbo Bakeries. The family lived in Mahopac, N.Y.
Police say the market and bakery also were notified of the incident.
