NEW YORK (AP) — Airports in the New York tri-state metro area are experiencing arrival and departure delays of up to an hour and a half due to the wintry weather.

Travelers are asked to check with their airline to determine if their flight is affected.

As much as 3 inches of snow was expected to fall in some tri-state areas before tapering off Tuesday evening.

Temperatures are expected fall below freezing overnight, but should climb to the low 50s by Saturday.
