Two join JCC faculty
JAMESTOWN - Jacqueline M. Crisman and Michael E. Weaver have joined the faculty at Jamestown Community College's Jamestown Campus.
Dr. Crisman, assistant professor of biology and coordinator of biotechnology, taught previously at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and Houghton College. She earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry at the State University of New York at Geneseo and a master's degree in molecular virology and doctorate in molecular immunology at Ohio State University.
Dr. Crisman is a member of the American Physiological Society, American Association of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Her research has been published in several professional journals.
Dr. Crisman is the past recipient of a National Kidney Foundation Fellowship, National Research Service Award, and other honors. She and her husband, Johnathan M. Woodring, live in Cuba.
Weaver, director of JCC's engineering science and technology program, earned an associate degree at JCC and a bachelor's degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is the former OEM product development manager at Bush Industries Inc.
Weaver, who holds a patent for an adjustable home theater bridge, received the JCC Faculty Award for Excellence in 1985. He and his wife, Susan, have two children and live in Jamestown.
