Fredonia sets out pickup rules for yard refuse
The following notice concerning yard refuse applies to all village of Fredonia residents.
The following schedule for July 7 through 10 is for containerized leaves, grass clippings, tree branches and brush only. There will be absolutely no loose leaf collection.
Brush, shrubs and larger limbs must be bound in bundles with twine and are not to exceed four feet in length, 18 inches in diameter or 65 lbs. in weight. Large rootballs must be separated from the brush and containerized.
Homeowners who participate in this pickup may bring brush, etc., to the curbside no earlier than the afternoon on the day before the scheduled day of pickup, or later than 7 a.m. on the scheduled day. One pass only will be made.
The villages does not pick up garbage, bulk items such as appliances, old furniture or demolition and building materials. Contact the Department of Public Works at 679-2304 with any questions regarding eligible items and schedule, which is as follows:
n Monday, northwest section between Temple and West Main streets.
n Tuesday, southeast section between Water and East Main streets.
n Wednesday, southwest section between Water and West Main streets.
n Thursday, Northeast section between Temple and East Main streets.
County Planning Board meets Tuesday
JAMESTOWN - The next meeting of the Chautauqua County Planning Board has been scheduled for Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the IDA conference roon, 200 Harrison St., Jamestown.
