Harry "Kary" and Ruth Karalus of Brocton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 28. They celebrated with close family at the Karalus' house on Saturday. A picnic was held on June 29 at Alleghany State Park.
The couple was married June 28, 1958 at St. Hyacinth's Church in Dunkirk. They have four children - Lori (Mike) Karalus of Brocton, Kim (David) Patterson of Forestburgh, Julie Karalus of Amsterdam, N.Y., and Jim (Angela) Karalus of Brocton. They have four grandchildren.
