CASSADAGA - The Cassadaga Village Board is seeking help from village residents in its efforts to obtain state and federal funding for a $5 million municipal water improvement project.
In order to qualify for various loan and grant applications, an income eligibility criteria has to be established.
RCAP Solutions, a not-for-profit organization based in Gardiner, MA, has been asked to conduct this income survey and will provide the service free of charge for Cassadaga.
Mayor Mary Jo Carlson Bauer said an informational meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Aug. 13 in the community building to review the one-page five-question survey and the information it is seeking.
"This would give us an opportunity to explain what the village board is doing and why it is being done," she said.
In a meeting with village officials, RCAP Senior Community Development Specialist Christian Nill said the organization is committing to administering the survey and processing the results in an objective manner while maintaining complete confidentiality of the individual responses.
