RIPLEY - The Ripley Central School district welcomed four new staff members at the most recent Board of Education meeting. Three new elementary teachers will begin in the fall, as well as the district's first full-time social worker.

Pamela Gross will step into the new full-time position at RCS. Previously, she worked at the Chautauqua Lake school district for 8 years.

"She is known in the county and already has contacts within the necessary agencies that we will be using," Elementary Principal Karen Krause said.

"Her qualifications fit our needs perfectly," Board President Robert Bentley said.

Gross said she is very excited about the opportunity to break new ground at Ripley.

The board also congratulated Michelle Lukasiak, Erika Achenbach and Emily Golinitz into probationary positions in the elementary teacher tenure area.

Lukasiak and Golinitz will be teaching third grade and Achenbach will be taking a position in the first grade.

The board also held its annual reorganization meeting and appointed Robert Bentley as board president, Judith Rowe as vice-president, Marie McCutcheon as board clerk, Tracy Smith-Dengler as treasurer, Nancy Rowe as legislative liaison, Fred Krause as BOCES liaison, and Ted Rickenbrode as Chautauqua County School Boards liaison.
