A small family picnic celebrated the 60th wedding anniversary of Warren and Berdina (Berndt) Bolling of Sunnyside on Chautauqua Lake on July 6. They were married by the Rev. Philip Schlick on that date in a candlelight ceremony at the First Methodist Church in Silver Creek in 1948.
Both graduated from Forestville High School. Warren served in the South Pacific with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Upon returning home after the war, he worked for Western Electric before moving to Jamestown to begin his 33-year career with the Jamestown Telephone Company. He retired from AllTel as supervisor of installation and repair in 1986.
Berdina graduated from SUNY Fredonia and taught elementary school in the Falconer School District for 30 years.
