George and Doris (Day) Burkland of Fredonia are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple was married on Aug. 6, 1948 in Jamestown. They will be celebrating with their family during August.
The couple formerly owned the Record Insurance and Real Estate Agency in Silver Creek.
They have three children - Nancy (Fred) Wurst of Alpheretta, Ga.; Michael Burkland of Fredonia; and the late Stephen Burkland. They have two grandchildren.
