Richard and Hazel Lesandro, formerly of Dunkirk and now of Sarasota, Fla., are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
An anniversary party, with a dinner and reception, was held at the Marriot Waterfront in Tampa. The wedding cake was made by their daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mark Glowski, formerly of Dunkirk. A family party was also held the next day at the home of their granddaughter, Kimberly Glowski Birks, where they received many good wishes from family and friends.
The couple was married Aug. 9, 1958 at Holy Trinity Church in Dunkirk.

Officiating the ceremony was the late Father Bernardo. Attendants were the late Bety Fellinger of Dunkirk, matron of honor, and the late Frank Smeragluolo of Jamestown, brother-in-law of the groom.
Mr. Lesandro is retired from Welchs of Westfield.
The couple has three children - Ronald (Faith) Lesandro of Hamburg, Brian Lesandro of Tampa, and Suzy (Mark) Glowski of Tampa. They have six grandchildren.
