August 13, 2008
The OBSERVER

Christopher Schaeffer of Fredonia has announced his candidacy for the New York State Senate's 57th District.

"I'm just a working guy who's tired of paying the second highest taxes in the country, not a career politician who thinks of taxpayer's money as something to spread around to make myself look good."

Schaeffer is endorsed by the Democratic Party and has no primary challenger.

Schaeffer graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a degree in business administration, has worked as a credit manager, ran his own electronics recycling business and currently is a retail manager with Wireless Express, Inc. a growing startup company.

He is active in his community having served on the planning board in the town of Stockton, been on the board of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua and a 4-H Leader in Chautauqua County for eight years.
