Critical information slated to be gathered during insurance Open Enrollment meetings
The Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Open Enrollment meetings next Thursday, Nov. 13 and Friday, Nov. 14. During these meetings a variety of changes will be discussed regarding the current Chamber health/dental insurance program.
Chamber members with fifty or fewer employees are eligible to enroll in the Chamber's insurance programs. Open Enrollment allows current chamber members and their employees to make changes to existing policies, or to enroll in the Chamber's insurance program without a qualifying event. These types of changes include changing plans within the same carrier, making changes to existing plans or selecting another carrier. Open Enrollment, conducted annually starting in November with a coverage effective date of January 1, is the only time of year when these types of changes may be done.
The meetings will take place on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 a.m. or 3 p.m. at the Chamber's Dunkirk Branch office and on Friday, November 14 at 7:30 a.m. or 3 p.m. at the Robert H. Jackson Center, Auditorium.
Representatives from Univera, Independent Health, Community Blue and Dental Pay Plus will be available to highlight changes in the plans offered through the chamber and to answer questions for current employers interested in enrolling in the Chamber's health and dental insurance program and those currently enrolled.
Also during Open Enrollment the Chamber will be gathering important information from its subscribers critical to a new health insurance initiative.
Any current member enrolled in the Chamber's health/dental insurance program is required to stop by either Chamber office. If we do not receive required documentation by 12/5/08 your plan is in danger of termination effective Dec. 31, 2008.
