Lily Dale to hold workshop Sunday

POSTED: November 14, 2008

LILY DALE - A workshop, "Spirit Animals and Totems: Helpers on the Path," will focus on spirit animals, an integral part of Native American spirituality and culture.

The event, sponsored by the Church of the Living Spirit, is scheduled 1:30-4:30 p.m., Sunday at the Assembly Hall on Cleveland Avenue. The class will be headed by Lone Wolf and Grey Owl, who earlier this year headed a workshop at Lily Dale on ceremonies and rituals of the Ojibwe, also known as the Chippewa.

At the upcoming program, the two lecturers - through traditional teachings, stories, and song - will examine types of spirit animals, tribal totem animals, and animal/human interactions. In addition, crafts will be available. Workshop fee is $25.
