Mr. and Mrs. Ward Potter

Ward and Dorothy Potter of Fredonia celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their children and families at The Colony restaurant in Irving. The celebration was hosted by their children and grandchildren. Also in attendance were Helen Merrill, Dorothy's mother, and Jenness (Karen) Merrill, Dorothy's brother and sister-in-law.

Mr. Potter and the former Dorothy Merrill were married Oct. 11, 1958 at First United Methodist Church in Fredonia by the Rev. Delbert Jolley.

Mr. Potter retired from AL Tech Specialty Steel in 1998. He is also known for his carpentry work around the area, which he did for 35 years. Mrs. Potter retired from Drs. James and Jennifer Foley, DDS, in 2001.

The couple's children are Kim Robbins of Fredonia, Kelly (Doug) Navik of Clarence, Jeffrey (Kelley) Potter of Brocton and Kristine Potter of Fredonia. They have six grandchildren.
