Recently, media outlets have been reporting that budgetary pressures have forced cutbacks and closures at New York State and DEC Parks, affecting traditional summer activities including camping, swimming, golfing and historic sites. Seasons will start later and end earlier, and some operations will be closed on certain days of the week. With these closures and cutbacks, it would almost seem that people planning their vacations will have fewer options and opportunities to stay and play in New York State.
That is definitely not the case!
