Dunkirk Midget Football

Registration for the Dunkirk Midget Football program will be held Saturday, June 27, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hose 4 fire hall on W. Doughty St.

Participants must be nine years of age before Nov. 1 and cannot turn 13 before Nov. 1.

A birth certificate is required for those who are new to the program.

The cost of registration is $40 for an individual and $50 maximum for a family with more than one registrant.

Youth Baseball

Dunkirk Little League Majors

Lucky Lanes 17, Lions Club 3 Brandon Perry had three hits including two triples and a double to lead Lucky Lanes while Bradan Hasse added two hits (double). Also for Lucky Lanes, Caleb Rasmus (triple) and Kobe DeJesus (double) had a hit each. Seamus Raynor earned the win on the mound, striking out 12.

For the Lions Club, Jon McCarthey had two hits while Alex Jones, Kevin Ganey and D.J. Lombardon combined to strike out 13.

Brocton/Portland Little League

Beaver Club 14, Westfield Nursery 5 Latham Dunn lead the Beaver Club hitting attack going 3-for-4 with three singles. Steve Wisecarver had two singles while Matt Siragusa pounded out a single and a double.

Nash Delcamp and Latham Dunn shared the pitching duties for Beaver Club.

Youth Softball

Chautauqua County 14U Babe Ruth Softball

Chadwick Bay Exterminators 13, Stockton 1 - Alexis McWillson led the Exterminators with three hits while Khee Nance and Lacy Clark both added two singles to back the seven strikeout pitching performance of Kelsey Drummond.

Katlyn Johnson had the lone hit for Stockton and Danielle Storner took the loss in the circle.

Chadwick Baby Exterminators 28, Stockton 2 - The Exterminators offense was rolling as Lilly Rollins ripped three hits and Joyce Bomasuto, Alexis McWillson, Khee Nance, Lacey Clark, Sam Thompson and Lisa Dunbar all added two hits apiece.

Bomasuto struck out eight in the win.

Forestville Old-Timers baseball

Blue 8, Red 6 Jim Shevlin doubled and added two singles to lead the Blue over the Red in the third Alumni game while winning pitcher Al Muck singled twice. Larry Persing added a double for the blue team.

Bob Bradigan started and gave up four runs on nine hits with three strikeouts and one walk. Muck gave up two runs on three hits in relief for the win.

Tony Bartholomew had three singles to lead the Red team while Marc Hilliker doubled and singled. Jeff Seeley, J.R. Olsen and Cody Schrader each singled twice. Bartholomew took the loss in relief of starter Olsen.

Forestville will host the Jamestown Old-Timers on Sunday July 5. Game time is at 1 p.m. Umpires will be Betty Brecht and John Boner.
